Karzai backs Modi’s remarks on human rights situation in Balochistan

So the Bengalis that get in this way only have a chance if they know Urdu (i.e make their Bihari claim believable)?

Well no, those authorities mostly see through their lies. Though most don't deny to authorities they are Bengali and in the country illegally.

Everyone knows that they are here illegally, but the government doesn't do much. Not that it can really. Sometimes the local police force will harass them for a little bit of money. That's about it. And Karachi is a such huge melting pot that few seem to care anyway. They are treated much better than the Biharis of Bangladesh.

And we are reaching a point where the second and third generations don't speak Bangla and consider themselves Pakistani. They have no knowledge of Bangladesh.

.
Eh. They do look different, but they look more similar to Biharis than one might think. After all, the states border each other. They are also very difficult to differentiate from the Rohingya people. But the main problem is that they will run and hide. Good luck finding them and extracting them from their neighborhoods.

Funnily enough, after emphasizing their uniqueness, each group claims the other's identity when they get to Pakistan. Bengalis tell authorities that they are Biharis and Rohingyas say that they are Bengalis. :rolleyes:
True the Rohinga look indistinguishable from them, as you are form karachi you will know better, fortunately their are non in Azad Kashmir ....YET.

No No no no no:o:no:disagree::disagree::disagree:

. .

Yes, I agree. That's what we are also saying - a dialogue between Indian and Pakistan is needed to address all outstanding issues. You see the emphasis is by UN on a bilateral dialogue.

Ban Ki Moon said that the United Nations remains convinced that it is only through dialogue that the outstanding issues between Pakistan and India including on Kashmir can be addressed.

Thanks

I'm offended here. :close_tema:

The truth is that the younger generations have essentially become Pakistani. They aren't treated any differently than the other people of Karachi. They've spread out and intermixed since immigrating. It's not as easy to tell the difference as one might think. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of ethnic groups in Karachi. They make up less than 5% of the population anyway since Karachi is so large now. Most people don't even notice that they are there.

Some of them have retained parts of their culture and cuisine but speak fluent Urdu and have jobs like everyone else. And those that live in slums are outnumbered by non-Bengalis in many neighborhoods. They've become like other groups of the subcontinent that immigrated to Karachi and "melted" in.

I think these Pakistani Afghans and these Pakistani Bangladeshis should be asked to hold protests every time there is an anti Pakistan statement from their respective home countries' governments. A slap on the faces of bigots when they see their own countrymen protesting against their statements. But again they are shameless creatures who may conveniently disown their countrymen to prove their loyalty to a bigger shameless liar ever.
