Clearly you don't spend much time on threads about Afghan refugees. People routinely say far, far worse things about them. Have look. Again, maybe you should spend more time actually reading posts by people on this forum before posting next time. You're making yourself look rather foolish with this comment.

We don't make life hell for them, despite the fact that they are mostly illegal immigrants. They've integrated into Pakistan as my above post referenced.

However, the Biharis of Bangladesh are not so lucky, and that's the point. They are officially called "Stateless Pakistanis" by the government and mostly live in slums. Some of them aren't even considered citizens. First let Bangladesh stop discrimination against Biharis, their language, and their culture then come and talk about the (illegal) Bengali immigrants of Pakistan.

Thats what I mean, he is often quite impulsive fellow...rushes to conclusions or cannot be coaxed to a compromise through a reasoned debate (doesn't READ everything being said including very important stuff)

I can't speak for other users, but keep in kind that many comments were in jest. Do not take them as literal fact. This is just a forum and people sometimes say things as if they are speaking to their friends. They don't mean it in a purely literal sense. Making fun of Bengalis (or others) is not the end of the world. People always make jokes.

And the immigration of Bengalis became relevant when UKBengali refused to accept Nilgiri's (correct) assertion that there are many, many illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in India. He then mentioned me because I had previously discussed (illegal) Bengali immigration to Pakistan. I confirmed what he was saying (our opinions on the main thread topic aside), and it continued from there.

Pakistan has already let in most Bihari immigrants of the former East Pakistan. But it stopped eventually in no small part because Bengalis (not Biharis) began immigrating to Pakistan en masse in the 1980's and early 1990's. Many of those that remained did not want to come.

No, what is sad that Bangladesh continues to discriminate against them and calls them "Stateless Pakistanis". It does not even recognize the older ones as citizens of its country. Most of them live in pitiful conditions all these years later. First, Bangladesh should address these problems. Then talk about the Bihari issue with Pakistan or about the (illegal) Bengali immigrants to Pakistan.

If Pakistan is to take Bihari immigrants from Bangladesh, Bangladesh must be prepared to take back illegal Bengali immigrants residing in Pakistan.
