There was one Rajput guy (some small time prince) who was apologizing to me on facebook, saying that his clan let down India and that he is going to do everything to restore India back to its glory.

Let down India as in ?:what:

My Grandpa is alive...but he's so frail these days...Senti ho raha hoon.:cray:

How old is he ?

But he was against organised religion? Or was it the case that those who approached him with favours were incidentally Religious groups?

Yup. He believed in god, just not religion.

My Grandma on the other hand was a hardcore atheist.

She kept referring to this generation of Keralite Women soft and unable to keep their husbands in line.

It was more a Hindu Resurgence page. So he was feeling bad that Rajputs could not defend and Muslims took over the country.

I'm not good at History but i guess Rajasthan was the only state in North India that never came under mughal empire of any other foreign rule ??:undecided:

He's 88 now.

Duki Bana nahi pata? Gulaal nahi dekhi hai?

Gulaal zabardast hai! Rajput ho kar Gulaal nahi dekha hai, kaise Rajput ho tum?:D Highly recommended bhai!

The rulers of Rajputana were subordinates to the Mughals. So, one can say they were subjugated by the Mughals. In fact, there is no part of India that hasn't been left intact by foreign invasions. The British were phoreners too. :-)

The culture in South was not subverted.

The culture in South was not subverted.

The culture in the North too is intact in many places. But the South did not see Islamic conquest till much later, and Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala never had Muslim rulers. That's one difference between North and South.
