Over-saturation of Indian culture on Pakistani channels seems to bring the opposite effect. Our people can just infiltrate their nation easier, while they think they've won some battle in the scheme of 'softer power'.

Most Indians have a picture of India (only Muslim) as Pakistan. Good people, good food, bad politicians.
Fewer people have a more balanced picture.

That is sad state of ignorance for the population of a country that is looking to state itself as more than it is in the world.


Well, Salees urdu is something that Pakistanis lost themselves but as a general comparision; the average educated college going Pakistan is ten times more aware of the world and events than their Indian counterparts. Call it a sense of curiosity or a need for knowing stuff; but I have met very few Pakistanis who were unable to describe Indian culture and ideas inaccurately.

You will never meet a Pakistani abroad who will look surprised when meeting an Indian from Gurgaon or one from Vishakapatnam. On the other hand, most Indians who meet Pakistanis are generally expecting someone who looks like this.

Having met more incoming H-1B folk in this year than I'd like; this is true for most.

Sadly, that is the state of Indian media and the general lack of exposure they have.

You have to be wilfully ignorant. When the entire education & social culture is based on doing only what is stated in the book then you are inviting a work ethic of ignoring everything beyond what is required exactly.

Those that don't prescribe to that thought process are those that really get out of the place and come to the west..and not just looking for jobs but a better lifestyle.

Um not the one,s i interact with online have an unrealistic view of themselves and are generally trolls but i must say the one,s i met in real life inside Pakistan were well mannered and nice folks
