Karachi to Peshawar Bullet train: News & Updates

Hope this is a solar powered bullet train, because we don't have electricity, diesel, petrol or natural gas.

. . . .
Bullet train infrastructure from madinah to sur, Oman will cost around 120 billion $$ to four countries KSA, Qatar, UAE and Oman. How exactly Pakistan alone gonna arranged same for bullet train from Karachi to Peshawar which will cost at least 50 billion $$ to Pakistan. I guess they have first stablize railway, bring Pakistani railway stations, train line to international level, then start planning for metro.

Ye logic to aap ke great leader ko Bhi pata Hona chahiye tha na before lying to people?

If a common man like me was saying before the elections that 60-70 billion dollars might be needed for claimed bullet train project then he being a so-called leader should have also estimated the cost before claiming such nonsense?

If he knew the cost and lied to the people, he should be disqualified from the post of PM according to the constitution of Pakistan (Sadiq and Ameen)

If he did not know the cost of the project and sold a dream, he is too incompetent to run the office of Prime Minister and should be disqualified on the basis of incompetency

Haye...kaash!

Time to snap back to reality!

Instead of spending money on Bullet train upgrade and expand the existing train network in Pakistan. The train network has not been expanded since the independence and the whole infrastructure is in bad shape. Even the train stations are in shambles while Pakistan railways was nearly bankrupt.

Cost of bullet train from Karachi-Peshawar is around $30 billion according to Chinese. To much right now, maybe next decade.

.
Here is the deal, Chinese can operate the train but leave the bullet for Pakistani nation as we would shoot in NS arse.

Pakistan won't be spending this money, I can assure you of that. BTW, how else you plan on bringing hundreds of tourists and foreigners (some from the West, majority of the other ones on short business trips from China and Central Asia to Pakistan, to Gawader and Karachi)?

The modern American, post WWII was created by Al-Gore's father's serious efforts in putting in Infrastructure, highways, train systems, network of airports, etc, etc. Wherever the infrastructure went, the growth followed and the US became the largest economy and a military power since then and still is the case till now. So you guys need to understand the importance of it too.
Projects like this, aren't just put in because one wanted to, they are put in, knowing their cost can be recovered in X amount of years and they really act like a force multiplier in terms of growing the economy.

My father's village in Punjab about 15 km from KPK borders was in dark ages till they got a road in late 70's. There were people who spend their life and didnt know what train looks like, there was one bus service which leave in the morning to District's Tehsil and come back at night. People will die because of diarrhea and not able to get medical treatement.

then they got a road, now that village of no more than 5000 people has grown to look like small city, you can find anything you can find in Pindi and Islamabad, patients can reach hospital in less than 30 min, heck there is even a Pizza house. there are small workshop and people making things for other businesses in Peshawar and Pindi...people have employement in a small village...all due to one two lane road.

Having said that we dont need bullet train, you can make a regular train run at 200 Km/h if you repair and improve tracks...make double tracks, spend the money saved from bullet train to roads connecting every village to the district...miracle will happen.

Peshawar mai sirf Bullet chal sakti hai , Bullet train nai hahahha

Nawaz already talked with Chinese soon after becoming PM. They probably are not in mood to finance it yet. Instead they offered $3.7 billion investment to upgrade existing railway track and increse speed up to 160/km if I am not wrong.
