Target-killer who sharpened 'skills' by shooting dogs held in Karachi

KARACHI: The police Monday arrested an alleged target-killer, who on top of confessing to many murders also claimed to have sharpened his marksmanship skills by shooting stray dogs, Geo News reported.

“The hitman, who was apprehended in Mehmoodabad, admitted to killing at least three people including two cops”, said Senior Superintendent of Police (South), Munir Shaikh.

The shooter, whose face was covered with a piece of cloth, made these confessions before media here on Monday.

“I became a sharpshooter by practising headshots on the running dogs using handguns. We were tasked with making a kill with only a single shot. That's how I got started”, the veiled target-killer said.

SSP Shaikh also told media that the police have busted a gang of ransom-hunters by capturing four fake cops including an imposter DSP.

Arrest Warrants of Uzair Baloch, Baba Ladla, 22 Others issued

KARACHI: Anti-Terrorism Court Karachi Monday issued arrest warrants of Peoples Aman Committee (PAC) chief Uzair Baloch, Habib Jan Baloch, Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla and 22 others.

The hearing of case pertaining to murder of former SHO Fawad Khan and others during Lyari operation was heard in ATC Karachi.
According to details, the witness has identified Ameen Buledi in attempted murder case while accused in Arshad Pappu murder case former SHO Javed Baloch was sent to 7-day remand.

During the hearing, the court issued arrest warrants of Uzair Baloch, Habib Baloch, Noor Mohammad aka Baba Ladla and 22 others and ordered to produce them in the court on October 3.
Abdur Rehaman aka Zakir Dada, Zubair Baloch, Shahjahan Baloch and other accused were produced before the court while Faisal Pathan and other eight accused were absconders in the Arshad Papu murder case.

ایسٹ زون پولیس نے مختلف علاقوں میں چھاپہ مار کارروائیوں کے دوران 55 ملزمان کو گرفتار کر کے ان کے قبضے سے 7 پستول ، نقد رقم ، موٹر سائیکل ، منشیات اور شراب کی بوتلیں برآمد کر لیں۔ ڈی آئی جی ایسٹ منیر احمد شیخ کے مطابق گرفتار ملزمان میں3 بھتہ خور،22 مفرور اور3 مشتبہ ملزمان شامل ہیں۔گرفتار ملزمان کے خلاف مقدمات درج کر کے تفتیش شروع کردی گئی۔ ویسٹ زون پولیس نے مختلف علاقوں میں چھاپے مارکر58 ملزمان کو گرفتارکیا، ان کے قبضے سے 2 ریوالور ،10پستول، ایک موٹر سائیکل اور منشیات برآمد ملی۔ ڈی آئی جی

بغدادی پولیس نے خفیہ اطلاع پر کارروائی کرتے ہوئے ملزم ایاز عرف ہزارے وال کو گرفتار کر کے2 ہینڈ گرینیڈ، ایک پستول اور ایک موٹر سائیکل برآمد کر لی۔ گرفتار ملزم شکیل بدمعاش کا قریبی ساتھی ہے اور بھتہ خوری میں ملوث ہے۔ ملزم سے ایک فہرست بھی ملی ہے جس میں ان افراد کا نام ہے جن سے بھتہ وصول کرنا ہے۔ ترجمان سندھ پولیس نے مطابق گزشتہ24 گھنٹوں کے دوران 134 ملزمان کو گرفتار کر کے ان کے قبضے سے24 مختلف اقسام کے ہتھیار برآمد کیے گئے۔گزشتہ24گھنٹوں کے دوران جرائم پیشہ عناصر کے خلاف94 چھاپہ مار کارروائیاں کی گئیں اور ان میں3 پولیس مقابلے بھی ہوئے۔گرفتار ملزمان میں 3 بھتہ خور، 2 قتل اور81 اشتہاری اور مفرور ملزمان کو گرفتار کیا گیا۔

Karachi operation: Extremist elements still active in Pashtun areas, says Shahi Syed

KARACHI: Leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Shahi Syed, has said that extremist element are still operating in the Pashtun-dominated areas of Karachi, but the Sindh government is reluctant about providing foolproof security to the leaders of the party.

Addressing a press conference at Mardan House on Monday, he raised question over the success of the Karachi operation, claiming that some elements in the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) government did not want the operation to be successful.

He was of the view that leaders of the ANP were still receiving death threats and extortion slips from extremist elements. “The commander of Karachi operation, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, is a powerless chief minister, while the de-facto chief minister of Sindh, Owais Muzaffar, is the main hurdle when it comes to providing security to the ANP leaders,” he claimed.

Referring to the threat calls being given to ANP leaders – Dr Ziauddin and Abdul Razzak Buneri – Syed was of the view that it was the establishment’s agenda to settle extremist elements in ANP-dominated areas as the innocent Pukhtoon people were also getting threats.

He asked leader of the PPP, Asif Ali Zardari, to take strict action against corrupt elements in his party to make the operation successful.

“If the PPP leadership does not take strict action against such elements, the ANP will abandon its consensus policy with the PPP,” he stressed.
