Karachi Escalation: PPP is bringing her own mayors and deputy mayors in cities of Sindh

PTI federal did more then anyone else since 18th amendment for Karachi. Not sure what you expected, Karachi is under control of Sindh govt. Its their responsibility for which they get NFC award.

Now MQM contract with PDM was great on paper, but not even 1 point have been implemented since then despite the fact that Sindh govt is ruling federl and province. Apart from making MQM ministers etc personal benefits for MQM. But for Karachi nothing.

MQM is the voice of some of those very people that you claim to have sympathies for.

I am actually taken aback by the double-standards galore here. Talking to murderous TTP (killers of 80,000 Pakistanis all over the country) is okay, fine and the right thing to do, the same as of the supporters of now "Shaheed Bugti" aka BLA. However, any version of MQM in any form or manifestation is an anathema to these very same people. Why? Except vague reasons amounting to vile, petty provincialism, not much more.

What if these people of Karachi don't like either PTI or PPP as many a past elections have shown? Then what? Do they remain unrepresented just because you have an issue with how MQM of the past was? What if they really want MQM to represent them?


PTI did NOTHING for Karachi. Please don't spread misinformation. IK/PTI talked a lot but delivered zero to Karachi because they could do nothing to AAZ who sent a mighty index finger in Khan sahib's direction and all the talk of a Rs 5T uplift plan vaporized.

For the past 10 years, Karachi has been rotting. Each trip is worse than the previous one for those who venture to the city.

Whether it is MQM or PPP or PTI, nothing has been delivered to the people of Karachi.

MQM's gripe is that while they have the municipality (KMC etc.), they don't get the funding released by province (PPP). They complained to PTI in the center and PTI said, ok join us and we will make sure you get to do your projects. PPP told PTI, buzz off, 18th amendment gives the CM all the power so the PTI/MQM union was a dud. PPP does not want to release funding to MQM because god forbid if MQM actually did some work with this funding, they could get even more votes in the future so that is a no-no and therein lies the problem of Karachi. PTI and its claims of Karachi are just limited to Defense and Clifton, hardly what you would call Karachi.

As such, Karachi is a bastard that nobody wants to own yet everyone wants to pimp/take advantage of.

You are wrong, PTI did alot for karachi parks road etc I have made threads here when they did the work but altaf mqm original work great for karachi

Ok if the MQM was responsible so why kick out this party from Karachi & it's people & imposed PPP over this City...

It’s too late now. MQM and PPP were bed partners and they never cared for Karachi and Pakistan. They only care about power and money.

MQM has zero credibility after back stabbing PTI. Regardless of what MQM does or try, zero + zero will remain zero.

They have only one choice, leave MQM and create a new political party, new identity, new symbol, new ideology and New manifesto. Try to win enough seats to make Sindh government.

I am living in Karachi and I can say with surety that right now JI has biggest vote bank among allowed parties, then it's PTI, then TLP, then MQM-AtoZ, then PPP and everyone knows that reality but this has nothing to do with election results as election results is totally different thing than vote bank.

This election process is just a formality and most of Karachiites now didn't even bother about it as it won't make any difference in their life. #LaWarisKarachi is a reality many don't want to listen. I Just hope this #LaWarisKarachi won't turn into #MaqboozaKarachi.

In Pakistan the only fair election was in 1970 which we didn't accepted and prefer to loose East Pakistan, after that it's only selection all the time whether someone accept or not.

For All political parties including PPP, PML-N, PML-AtoZ, PTI, JUI, MQM, JI, TLP, and rest of crap, election is fair when they are selected other wise it's not. PPP, PML-N and PTI always gets govt. with the support of establishment but they only bark when they loose establishment support. Vote bank and election winning are two distinct and separate things which everyone knows but didn't want to accept or speak. People loves to live in fools paradise.
