People of Karachi blaming everyone else but themselves.........who elected a criminal doing jail time as the mayor of Karachi? I didn't see a single poster mention the mayor like he is elected just to draw salary and its federal or provincial governments job to put lids on gutters or clean the rainwater drains shame on your ethnic dishonesty

Bro...knowing these kanjars(Zardari tola and MQM) I don't think the voting is even fair. On one hand u have an average Sindhi villager who can't dare go against his wadera...on the other hand u have MQM and PPP militant wing that extract bhatta...who can force ppl to vote for them...or force their way into voting centers and do as they please. Sindh Police would do the bidding of PPP...and if any honest man still raises his voice...he will be killed by some target killer. Sindh ppl including Karachiites are literally forced into this situation. The ppl ruling them are an organized mafia...the very institutions like the police that's meant to provide security is instead in the hands of that mafia(whether MQM or PPP...doesn't matter).

My family migrated from Jalandhar never once we called ourselves migrants or anything of that sort and never encountered anyone saying as such. Except those with ulterior motives would use these sort of divisions to create discord and disunity and often times are foreign agents working against state interests. These sorts of 5th columns needed to be eliminated from the very beginning when these ideas are created. I would propose a re-education camp to bring these people to think along Pakistanism and not based on a stupid *** language that’s spoken, kabila, cast or anything. Go full on Beijing on their ***.

Agreed...it's high time we Pakistanis rise above such narrow minded "us vs them" mentality amongst ourselves.

It's all well and good to take pride in our heritage like ethnicity(Pathan, Punjabi, etc.) and language...but it should never come at the cost of a silent civil war(groups hating each other).

I agree and in an earlier post stated that these are very complicated issues and can not be blamed on one or the other or resolved quickly but this is absolutely dishonest on the part of posters to blame everyone else other than the person who is directly responsible for the city, the Mayor. Whether he was elected fairly or not, whether he gets the funding or not, he is sitting there taking his salary and perks and he is responsible. If he can't work, resign and go home. but to point fingers at PPP or federal government and not mentioning the mayor is not only dishonesty but an intentional attempt to try to play the false victim card by the MQM remnants and to divide the people on ethnic grounds. One member here is talking about picking up arms against the state and as usual, the @mods would keep sitting idle not doing anything

Totally agree. (I actually have a project on the side I’m working on, writing a book to bring about Pakistani Nationalism). My thinking goes as far a removing even the cultural identity of Punjabi, Sindhi etc.

I’ve thought about the idea of arming families and training them after thorough background checks to take out in front of their doorsteps those who come and collect money on behalf of PPP/MQM giving a Pakistani Nationalist enough mechanism to take out these walking devils among us. If some are opposed to this then have trained National Guard members in each area under civilian disguise record who these traitors are and takem out.

Ertugrul Niazi needs to wake up, 18th amendment doesn't mean Karachi is a non Pakistani territory and its haram for federal government to intervene. For goodness sake, it's not a city of few hundred thousands, the number runs into millions and if that cursed 18th amendment is harming the daily lives of those millions then hell with your 18th amendment ..... use vigora or something to grow a pair or better ask haleem e pinky for a chilla.

No I'm with u...I'm not at all in favor of letting these goons continue ruining Karachi...all I'm saying is that equal responsibility falls on ppl of Karachi(and Sindh in general).

There are two halves of the equation...ppl in power and the subjects who bring those ppl to power. So just like how the central government is being expected to use governor rule...shouldn't the ppl be expected to protest and oust the goons who are the cause? If IK has to do it alone...his priorities would be for his political career(just as it would be for any politician)...and to fight PPP...and take away from them the goose that lays the golden egg...would cause problems for his political career(mainly PPP will become a thorn). I know it's not a very noble thing...but that's how the world works. If however ppl were out in force...on the streets(well maybe not during COVID19 but I'm talking in general)...then he would be more inclined to do whatever is necessary bcuz he would see support of the ppl...
...whether that includes governor rule or repealing the 18th amendment. IMO the first thing that needs to happen is the ppl themselves need to rise up...it's not at all wise to look to politicians to be their saviors...this is Pakistan we r talking about.
