Highly likely the the first few tests will be from pontoon.
But the pontoon tests have already been conducted, no?
There has to be successive tests to ensure safety for the sub, after all we got only one SSBN.
I think the test will be carried on from INS Chakra.

Chakra-II does not have the equipment to carry, let alone launch, a 10-meter long ballistic missile.
What u mean? Its a nuk sub. Akula class. Moreover its armed with 300km Klub missiles. The international treaties prevent us from carrying nuclear missiles from that sub.
The least we can do is TEST from it.
