What's new

Just got bigger: Sino-Russia Border Redefined, ‪China‬ Acquires 4.7 sq km

To the mind of the Yamato rice farmer, it was beyond is dream to know his descendants would rule Asia in the 20th century. Even the largest pine tree starts as a tiny seed, my friend.

:)

You only managed to control 1/3 of China's territory for less than a decade, and this was hardly a real achievement.

And this was your only best chance to become a major global power, yet you completely blew it by yourselves.

Even the Manchus had managed to rule 13 million km^2 of territory for over 200 years.

Japan was never designated to become a superpower, just admit it. This is your fate.

Trust me, I just know one day in future all the descendants of these farmers will not have been able to distinguish what is yamato or tomato.

Bro, as you know, facing the reality is the hardest work for Japanese, the national fate of one hundred years that they got by beting has gone forever, it is the time that history return to its normal orbit where Japan was/will be always at the corner of the world. Japanese have lost the strength that they can depend on to change their fate, they only remain the strength that boasting how powerful the Petty Imperial Japan was, meanwhile embracing the lost 30 years, like this Japanese indoorman with the super superstition to their petty "super strength" who boasts how powerful the IJN was all day, through its all ships have been under sea and become fish houses, all its crews have been the fish food and now become fish shit.:D:omghaha::rofl:

That's hardly anything considering how much of Manchuria was subsumed into Russia. 4square kms is nothing.

Nothing.

The Russians laugh knowing they stole 1/2 of Manchuria, and all of Japan's northern islands. That's the truth. The part of Manchuria they took was/ is rich in natural resources ; gold, tin, zinc , cadmium, copper, oil , fertile grasslands, rivers, vast lakes, trees lumber in the thousands of kilometers, rich fishing grounds.

The 4 Kms give is like a crumb on the floor of the tablefeast.

THAT is the truth.
Another truth is, during past 400 years lands of China become bigger than ever, get lands from Manchuria / Mongolia / XinJiang / Tibet ... although Qing China fail the border-conflict with Tsarist Russia, lost half lands in Manchuria ... The Qing Empire also bring many lands to our Chinese (China lands in Qing much bigger than Ming Empire). Right now our interest between China and Russia much more than the historic conflict ... both governments had finsihed boundary division.

Tang didn't directly control over most of its territory like the modern PRC.

The modern PRC is de facto the largest territory in China's history, as even the Qing Dynasty didn't directly control over Xinjiang/Tibet/Mongolia.

True, today's China and Russia share far more common interests than the historical conflict.

When Russia is voluntary to concede some land to China, then it does mean that Putin's regime is genuinely wanting the further cooperation with China.

Well ... that's just better than nothing.

U lack Ming Empire map ... and Yuan Empire strictly the central-government(BeiJing) just controlled small lands in China, rest outside China r dependent countries belong to Genghis Khan's princes.

Thanks bro, I missed out Ming (1368-1644 AD), my bad, just edited post #23.
You can see how the Middle Kingdom evolved now.
In Ming, how the Manchuria and Tibet in China map ? I think Han Chinese didn't actually control these lands until Qing Empire setup BeiJing's official government in local.

Yes, when the Qing Dynasty became the representative regime for China, Xinjiang and Tibet had officially became part of China's territorial sovereignty.

Japan is what China COULD be, China needs to spread the brotherly love to their Jap counterparts.

Yes there were:

在政教合一的青藏地区设有乌思藏都司、朵甘都司;在东北女真部落设奴儿干都司,下辖131卫,至万历年间增至384卫;另有置于今甘肃、青海、新疆交界地区的哈密、沙州、曲先等八卫;
