What's new

Just a thought.

Dont think so!

Why Dabong??If Kashmir is not there then we will fight for water ,when it is solved then we will fight against each other hegamonic mindset..we will find one problem or another to fight with..As neighbours we have lots of issues and we will continue to fight about them .As of now Kashmir just eclipsing rest of the issues thats all..

There is always problems between the neighbouring countries, but sometimes the situation becomes so critical. Kashmir is the only reason that have made your relatiionship bad and it is getting worse. We had water problem with Iran, but everything is solved now, we are not fighting each other.

That is true Ahmed but it does take two hands to clap. A section in the Pakistani establablishment would love nothingmore than India declaring itself a Hindu nation.

Please ask for the desire of RSS, VHP, Bajrang dal and so on. They are not part of Pakistani establishment.

And if India declares itself as Hindu Nation it wont affect Pakistan negatively or positively but atleast it will show India less hypocrite about its nature :))) which it conceals by using word like secularism

See this kind of statements that what i mentioned earlier..All Indians are not RSS and Bajrangdal..and most of Indians wants the country to be secular but neighboring countries will be more happy to see us declaring as Hindu state..

The dynamics at work between India and Pakistan are different. We, on all issues, would agree to disagree.

Well havnt fought for it yet and the water treaty seems to be in intact.......we negotiated and came to an agreement over that issue so so the same can happen in kashmir.

when it is solved then we will fight against each other hegamonic mindset..we will find one problem or another to fight with..As neighbours we have lots of issues and we will continue to fight about them .

I think that once the kashmir issue is solved the other less issues will automatically be resolved as everything has already been agreed but is hanging on the kashmir issue getting sorted.

As of now Kashmir just eclipsing rest of the issues thats all..

The kashmir is the trigger for war while the other more minor issues are .

Dabong in short the hatred started before Kashmir issue..look at how many refugees killed during the time of partition ..Just look at the statements of leaders about destroying each other countries ,Kashmir is just one reason to hate each other..even if it is solved we will continue to each other..There are enough hard core hawks on each side to make sure that we will hate each other..

My reading is that Kashmir is a symptom, not the disease. The disease is the mistrust which if not removed would give birth to some other Kashmir. Even then, the present imbroglio has to be laid to rest since Pakistan considers Kashmir as the main irritant. Yet, the steps to remove mistrust are equally important because the solution to Kashmir alone may not normalize relations.

.
Hardly has Kashmir settled down when Pakistan has brought the water issue to the front burner. My impression is that Islamabad is indulging more in rhetoric than reality. Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmoud Qureshi, has said in a recent statement that India was not to blame on water.

America has now become a mentor for both. Each one of them gauges how much Washington has tilted in the opponent's way. Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan on their visit to Washington reportedly told President Obama to use pressure to convince the other. But the two did not feel the need to meet each other to discuss the same point. This is the state of India-Pakistan relations. We have already wasted 60 years. Let's not waste another 60 years.
