I just cant stop recalling what Hamid Gul said a decade ago - that Pakistan is the target. Afghanistan is just a launching pad. There is no interest in political settlement or peace in Afghanistan. Its just a base to create mischief.

Developments in last week of 2017 (23-31 Dec 2017)

There are 14,000 US troops in Afghanistan and their numbers will increase in 2018. 1000 of these are military advisors to ANA.

Excluding Taliban, AQ etc, Moscow reports there are 10,000 ISIS fighters coming from Iraq and Syria into Afghanistan.

and now a new front against Pakistan in the form of new organisation, Junud Al Aqsa.

With all the previous attempts failing to put Pakistan into chaos, the frustration is certainly showing in all spheres of the ranks of the enemy. Pakistan on its end has started work on building the wall, raised a new force SSD for defence of the CPEC route and after solidifying its position in FATA, the shift is now towards Balochistan.

in case of Junud Al Aqsa, its the internal recruitment inside Pakistan's schools, colleges, universities, mosques, madrassas etc where masses of youth with developing minds are abundant. It might be a bit late since Pakistan has learnt a bitter lesson since 2007 and has gained experience in fighting terrorism inside cities and other urban areas of the country. Its not just the experience but the equipment and training which has been upgraded since past many years, also the formation of new SF wings in paramilitary.

It seems like wave after wave is being thrown at pakistan which gets disintegrated as soon as it hits Pakistan. Maybe its time to go on the offensive, start a bombing campaign inside Afghanistan. keeping a vigil eye on borders is one thing but cutting its roots and damaging its breeding ground and logistics is important too.

At first glance this paragraph appear a routine propaganda, but the highlighted sentence is very similar to the message of Naureen Laghari (student of LUMH, arrested from Lahore) for her parents in which she said something like she has reached to the Land of Peace/Islam and as we know she was going to join ISIS in Afghanistan.
