What's new

Jordanian King Abdullah, himself a pilot, will fly sorties on ISIS targets.

Pakistan I have little hope for. If you fall, they will sweep through Pakistan.

How can ISIS beat Iran lol? Its not like Iranians will support ISIS. Only reason ISIS is successful in Iraq & Syria is because some Sunnis are supporting them. Iran is majority Shia, ISIS will die like flies before they can even cross Iranian border.

As for Pakistan, well Pakistan is trying its best, it will take time to correct the mistakes of previous rulers. Trust me ISIS or Taliban cannot sweep through Pakistan they way you are thinking.

They are welcome to try. This is the fate that awaits these pigs.

This is how you deal with these guys you have to be aggressive, Isis's biggest nightmare is for a regional country to come in and kick their ***. I know these guys aren't how they make themselves look to be, they get scared too.

When they captured the 49 hostages from Turkey they didn't kill any of them because they knew what would happen, the air force was already designating targets around mosul so they knew not to screw around. They can terrorize people but they know their limits as well. They also threatened to blow up the suleiman shah tomb but they backed down for obvious reasons.

Only regional countries can solve this problem.

Yeah but i think they had enough of invasions.I know, you would argue that they created the Iraqi mess in the first place but let's remember that a reasonable peace was achieved which might have lasted if not for Maliki's discrimination. As for Syria, that's totally an internal matter .

I can't really believe that a Turkey+ Saudi Arabia+ UAE+Iraq+ Egypt can't defeat Daesh. What use is there in inflamming spirits by bringing in non Muslim troops ? You know very well as i do that before we know it we will have titles like "crusaders invade Muslim lands","US troops kill civilians",etc, etc.

The problem is that USA is very much involved in all the corners of the ME. Have no illusions here. As you admitted yourself then they have been a crucial part of the problem way before 2003 when they invaded Iraq. Along with the regional powers who are not innocent either.

Well, they could but none of those countries have really fought abroad on such a scale before. I am not including Houthi's, PKK etc. here. Last time Iraq and Egypt were at war with equals were centuries ago.

I think that the regional countries fear a backlash. There is also mistrust. It's not like in the EU where everyone could unite in such a situation and do what they preach. The ME is very much like Europe before WW1 and before WW2. Uncertainty rules supreme.

I believe that all actors can agree with the need to remove Daesh but not necessarily how and many are not necessarily willing to engage 100% in a conflict that they see as a Iraqi and Syrian matter. No matter if the conflict also impacts them but in a much lesser way.

Also then there are all the costs. Yes, the GCC for instance are not poor to say the least neither Turkey but wars are still extremely costly and we live in a time where the global financial crisis is still a huge problem. For instance the GCC might be growing as a economy but we live in a globalized world and thus also economy.

It's all very complicated.

Well, I agree that certain groups/people will use such slogans. A minority though.

All valid points .
Let's face it man, everybody wants to crush them but with very little damage to themselves.Western countries won't send troops because of economical reasons and fear of an Iraq fiasco all over gain,Turkey,GCC countries also fear an economical backlash, plus they don't want to indirectly help Iran either, and so on,and so forth.

In the end, what remains ? A group of loonatics running around in a barbarous killing spree while world/local powers with F35,F16's,Abrams,etc,etc play the numbers game.I'm wondering of their calculations right now,how cheap does a human life rank in there ?

It's sad indeed and you are spot on. At least this is how I see it. Meanwhile the main victims (as usual in wars) are the innocent civilians and people who did not even choose to become part of this conflict. I have seen horrible scenes from those conflicts. Small babies half burned dying in ransacked and ill-equipped hospitals with screaming parents and relatives looking at all this knowing that they can do nothing. Barrel bombardments on innocents in the thousands, suicide bombs hitting innocents etc. It's all very disturbing and has made me disillusioned to say the least.

Quite frankly I blame the regional countries and the world society at large for their silence when it comes to the Syrian conflict. The world should have reached initially or at most 1 year after the conflict. Like in Libya. This would have prevented the genocidal maniac from butchering more people because he wants to keep his throne that he waited for all his life and Daesh/Al-Nusra and similar terrorist organizations from seizing the opportunity to hijack the revolution.

Now people will say that Libya was a fiasco. Well, if the West/regional powers had stayed in Libya to rebuilt the country and secured a successful transformation after almost 50 years of dictatorship and after a cvil war things might have looked better.

Just like in Afghanistan after the war with the Soviets. Seems like nobody is learning a thing from past mistakes.

Still Libya is a piece of cake compared to Syria.

Previous Jordanian king was also a pilot.

Fun fact: while ISIS has declared itself a caliphate, Abdullah's great-great-grandfather, Hussein bin Ali, declared himself Caliph after the Ottoman Empire was abolished. So in a sense we're seeing a clash of two different Caliphates, yes?

I wonder if we'll see any action from the Sauds or if they are willing to let their old rivals, the Hashemites, gather all the glory?

They won't do shit anyway, the only good thing is now Jordan will quit hosting pro ISIS meetings supporting terror in Iraq as they did before.

You are really a troll. The Jordanian Royal family does not claim any leadership of a fictional caliphate.

King Abdullah II is the custodian of the Al-Aqsa mosque though which is under threat because of extremist Zionists like you that want to demolish it.

We Hashemites are part and parcel of Hijazi history which last time I checked is a major province/ancient historical region of KSA and moreover the most populous region in KSA.

The House of Saud never claimed any caliphate.

Keep your Arab-obsession out of this thread. We all know what you are up to here and your views.

So far it's only a rumor but yes it does feel good to have America's allies owning a war rather than yelling, "This is my enemy, I want you and he to fight! (while I watch safely from behind and take advantage of whatever opportunity appears to further my self-interest.)"

As far as I know this is correct.

Fantasy whipped into hatred. The Temple Mount remains under the management of the Muslim waqf through Israeli kindness since the Six-Day War and it's still standing forty-plus years later.

The House of Saud never claimed any caliphate.
As far as I know this is correct.
