Yes I see your point. It's a historical mistake that India created Pakistan and still allowed Muslims to stay in it. 70 years down the road, same religious divide is surfacing one more time. That actually means India was divided for a reason and reason is still there even though India has been divided. I see what you are saying.

I hope my views are understood correctly...It is not like, i do not want Hindus and Muslims should stay together...But it is our hypocrisy to admit certain things and act on top of it is the issue here...Again, my entire frustration is neither with Pakistan or Jinha...Rather our Indian national congress which lacked the visibility to see a danger than could have been avoided....they could have easily told that Non Muslims ( That includes every one except Muslims can stay here as Pakistan is created for them)) It is basically, i am making a separation of my fathers property and then allowing my brother to stay in my home even if he is getting his share as per the rule)....

Two nation theory is valid.

But creating two nations is unnecessary and self defeating. We can rule the entire subcontinent. It is within our capability. The physical partition helped Hindutva gain an upper hand in India.

Congress had stalwarts as leaders. They knew the challenges. Even in states with Muslim minorities, the hindu casualties were tremendous. Forcefully pushing all Muslims out would have led to a bloodbath and a possible invasion by Pakistan. I don't think it was due to the magnanimity of Hindu leaders. Our home minister even made anti Muslim speeches in public post independence. Point is that they kept it to speeches because they knew the risks.

Absolute rubbish. If Pakistan was created as "homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent", almost 2/3rds of Subcontinental Muslims would not be staying outside it. The fact that this theory is only brought up in times of crisis shows it has a shock value but in normal times it lays dead and buried.

You can’t count Bangladeshi muslims in that figure unless it reverted to Indian rule. They chose independence ultimately and would never revert back to the pre-1947 mixed Bengal.

70 years down the road, India despite trying secularism and "Hindu Muslim Bhai Bhai" slogans, reality stands that there are two Nations still.

Pakistan and India can still rule entire subcontinent - a sure thing - and Pakistan can merge Pakistan with India provided united country will be called Pakistan having a flag of Pakistan with legislation of Pakistan. Sounds fair?

Hindu Muslims are not bhai bhai. never have and never will. Honesty even if hindus were good (which they are not) it would not have been possible. Their religion makes it impossible.

You are right. Hindus and Pakistan are two Nations - and their hatred for each other is visible even when Pakistan (and Pakistani Muslims) live in a separate country. Gandhi g was fighting for a wrong cause and history has proven Jinnah was right.
