Based on my experience in India, I happen to agree with him.

Seems things were much worse in the 70s and 80s in laces like Mumbai. Till the "no go zones" were effectively penetrated and neutralized.

One cannot be made to feel like an outsider in his/her own country. If that is happening, the state and machinery needs to step in.
