if indian aviation engineers worked as hard as these indian members here trying hard to prove how out of the world this teja is, then they might had some thing concrete to show off.. as of today all they blabbering that since 1983 that teja WILL have this Teja WILL have that . sole purpose of LCA project was to replace mig 21's so far it does not seem to happen any soon because IAF still preferring their old mig 21's over tejas.. :cheesy:
no they are going to another single engine fighter bids to replace Mig-21 so the future of Tej@$$ become bleaker day by day @Noman Sarwar

worry about PAF which cant afford to buy 8 F16 BLK52s at market rate :haha:

now alreay 40 MK1 (FOC )under order & 8 already inducted in IAF as we speak while as Su30 MKI oder gets done MK1A production going to start at that facility in Nasik

as for next single engine well they are F16 BLK70/72 which are the best of the Super Viper series with GaN AESA Radar & Growler type Minutrised & Unified GaN AESA based (Growler Kit EW+ECM+Jammer& avionics ) and all those F35 avionics and multiple internal targeting and recce pods with 360 degrees all aspect HOBS

in short a F35 in a F16 body that has just 75 Km less range than F/A-18 Su per Hornet but carries the Same Weapons Load as that of a Might Su30 MKi and its current radar is as Good as a AWACS and we are going for 110 of those

so a tejas cant carry even half of that that and half the combat radious of F16 BLK70/72 and almost half as capable Radar or interna EW+ECM& jammer suites so whats wrong in having F16 Blk70/72 when we can afford it and USA is selling it with full TOT without any strings attached ....:azn:

And it will always be a future aircraft and will never become of present [emoji16]

Jammer Bhiyye Good Morning

leave this noora logic to some one else and stop this "AYEN BAYEN SHAYEN" and talk on the topic :sarcastic:

does the facts i gave about MK1 which Tejas has right now but JF 17 does not can you denay them :azn:

point is 8 out of 40 MK1(foc) have already joind IAF and two production lines already working in full swing so dont worry rest will come as times goes & when MKI production is over that line will too produce LCA MK1A hence then the real mass production will commence and thats mid of 2020

but by then 36 rafale would already be flying in IAF colours tell me can all of your PAF current Mirage III & IV + F7s & BLK42+ Blk52s can take on just Upgraded Jaguars +Mig29+ Migarge2000V5s+ Mig21 Bisons of IAF forget rafale or MKI :haha:
There's no noora logick but plenty of Gobar Parsad in evident.
knowing the track record of your defence industry and the credibility of the products, you have no choice but to build high hopes, let me give you some basic facts, the MiG-21s should have been retired 20 years ago but you are still depending on them, while other have retired the Jaguars, you are forced to upgrade and keep them and then you talk about PAF relying on Mirages, well since you are too busy with your
"AYEN BAYEN SHAYEN" by copy pasting same lines in every thread, maybe your Dalit teacher hasn't informed you that PAF has not only replaces four squadrons of older types with JF-17s but even raised a new unit of the type and by 2020, Block-3 will be rolling off the production lines.
Oh and if you think by the time Rafale is operational in the IAF, PAF will still be relying on the likes of Mirages then think again because there's more chance of the IAF still relying on the MiGs.
And above all, the icing on the cake is, whether Rafale, MKI or MK2.....at the end of the day it will be Prem Pankh flying the aircraft.

So your agreeing me that your your Tej@$$ has a bleaker future that is my point @GURU DUTT :sarcastic::haha:

Oh yeah, you guys always told us that F-16 is always inferior to you your raptor of the east MKI and suddenly F-16 becomes out this universe @GURU DUTT :jester::lol::sarcastic:

ii understand your mentality @GURU DUTT if india have or going to have is/will becomes out of this universe 1000000000000 gen ahead from rest of the world systems and will destroyed this

but the history says LCA project started in 83, so why you begun R&D in 93 after 10 year, i don't understand @randomradio o_O

In 1983, the govt said they should build an LCA.
In 1985, IAF created ASR.
In 1987, they made a paper design.
In 1993, they started R&D. Making airframe, FBW etc.

Same with FGFA. We made a paper design between 2010 and 2013. Next phase is the R&D contract where we will actually build the airframe.

On the contrary, the single engine fighter deal was cancelled and in its place a new fighter bid was initiated that includes both single and dual jet fighters, and it is yet topick up steam and in all probability Rafale will win again.

Whereas IAF has already committed to 324 Tejas.

He isn’t wrong technically.
The JF-17 is an active front line fighter capable of all operations day and night with extreme effectiveness and prejudice. It is a combat tested platform that is a strong component of its primary intended customer.

The Tejas is a testbed for the future Tejas that is barely able to participate in combat exercises without consistent factory level technicians; it is still something that its primary end user is not happy with and continues to have apprehensions about until a futur version addresses it.

Yep. Your sarcasm aside, this is pretty much what he meant.

The IAF won't buy any substandard product. I hope this is enough proof for all those who claim the govt is simply shoving the LCA down the IAF's throats.

So why were19 pages of bakk bakk jhak jhak wasted. The Tejas is currently not ready. We will compare specs when a workable model comes into service.

Don't ask me, it's your denizens who did all the bakk bakk. I had already clarified what the ACM meant.

The current Tejas is a workable model today. But the IAF wants a model for the future.

The Tejas, as it is today, is at a higher level than the JF-17 Block 2. Advanced airframe with RO characteristics, 4 channel digital FBW etc.

The IAF is asking from the Tejas what Lock Mart calls "near fifth gen" capabilities, what they are peddling to the IAF through the F-16 B70. So that's their standards and the current Tejas does not meet it.
