What's new

Jf17 and Mig 35 remain the only options being evaluated for increasing interest: Argentine air force

The more you try to analyze and go in-depth the more you realize the whole system is totally corrupt and rotten to its core and any fix you will try will only have cosmetic effects. Anyways, this thread is about the export potential of jf-17 so let's just agree to disagree and leave this discussion for some other thread.
It is the will which will achieve the goal. I urge you not to waist your precious time and energy in finding faults in others. The first step is to correct oneself. Only then you will have the will to guide others in the right direction.

.
I guess with Chinese Economic / Monetary assistance, they can easily get 36~54 JF-17A/B Block-IIIs along with some K-8 Basic / Intermediate Trainers.
They won't get anything close to that. The current Argentine govt isn't as rabidly anti military as previous govts. (For example the Kirchners) but they will be hard pushed to spend that kind of money when the economy is as bad as it.
how do you now what they would should could …

are you advisor to Argentinan GOVT and Airforce

😂
I am merely answering the questions being put.
I have looked at this question and the surrounding parts long before the JF17 arrived. The Argentines have been offered F16s before. (And F18s)

There are a lot of Pakistanis who over react to every rumour and treat it as fact. This provides fodder for enemy trolls. People need to think critically about these rumours and only celebrate when the first plane has landed.

South American procurement is all about politics rather than need.

Letting them die and selling some weapons to UK adversary are two different things.
Interestingly enough when they couldn't convince the Argentines to back down the US supplied weapons to the UK (The latest model of sidewinders) and had put in a plan to replace a carrier loss with USS Iwo Jima (manned by volunteers)

JF-17: Argentina meets with CATIC in China

20 January, 2022

The Argentine Ambassador , Sabino Narvaja, recently met with the Vice President of the China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), Mr. Wang Yaoxin; for the discussion of the comprehensive defense strategy between the Argentine Government and China.

Particularly, the details of the possible acquisition of the JF-17 developed jointly between CATIC and the Pakistan Air Force were discussed. In addition, the main central points of the meeting in May of last year were reviewed, and a technical visit of representatives of the Argentine Armed Forces to China was announced for the month of March of this year.

One of the points highlighted by the Ambassador maintains that the benefits of cooperation with China are highlighted when not presenting any type of sales restriction to our country for any of its aeronautical components. In addition to the meeting with CATIC, during the Zhuhai Aerospace Exhibition , the Ambassador held meetings with, for example, the Chinese state company NORINCO, for the acquisition of 8×8 armored vehicles , highly requested by the Argentine Army .

During the past month of November, offers were made available by Norinco, with which to reposition the VN-1 within the competition to provide the Argentine Army with an Armored Wheeled Combat Vehicle . The proposal reportedly detailed the local assembly options and versions to be supplied of VN-1.
Hand in hand with these meetings, the installation of a plant in which Bei Ben armored vehicles and civil transport trucks can be produced nationally is also planned.

The more national that buy it, the cheaper it will get, and future upgrades will also be cheaper.

This is uncalled for. Why are you raising a strawman?

It is better to err in favor of caution & saying that does not make @Keysersoze a supporter of American arms. Argentinians have been toying with the idea of procuring JF-17 for many years now. Its best to treat any news with healthy skepticism.

Uncalled? This arrogant high horse has been insulting others as troll who just speaks up truth about impossible task of Argentina obtaining US F-16. There are some who needs the hard reply to wake them up from their fantasy. They are still having the cold war era that anything made by Chinese are junk and nobody will buys it. We are living in world 2022 and some really need to update themselves of the new world. A new world which China is a no doubt a technology powerhouse in anything.

He just gets the treatment he deserve it.

@Keysersoze has been arguing with civility & presenting his POV without resorting to personal attacks. I don't understand why you are getting so excited when he has not said anything that you are blaming him for? China does not need your internet warrior skills. Chinese products market themselves without need for trolling.

He was well tamed after I rode in moderator for his personal insult against others and me with post delete and warning of his action. You really think he is so civilized? And he still didn't give up and continue try spam with his Argentina F-16 dream.

If you think I am lying, feel free to check with database or other moderator since you are a retire moderator.
