It is definitely a possibility. Increased thrust and the possibility of thrust vectoring are advantages, but the key benefit would be that the JF-17 will be exportable.

But as someone posted western world believes smart subsonic is better than high supersonic as it’s harder to detect

Don't believe DAWN it's seems to me planted news for 6 to 8 Billion they can't ask like these things plus it there is national security issue i believe AU won't hide it.

Not really ... US already has deployed supersonic missiles on its ships in the form of SM series ....
