Dear fellow posters, please do not be upset. Even misinformation, if & when presented, serves a certain purpose and is part of the game. All the discussion here that departs from officially released/confirmed information is speculation and we love to dissect it. So, please bear with others on this.

Locked and Loaded.

Block three would not need a pod for everything will be Internal so saving another hp for fuel/other external load

Ok, we aren't asking them to pull COBRA at all times. They just have to point their nose faster than the other aircraft taking a full turn. F-22 does this too. You can never get rid of it, that's why it had scored over 100 kills with 0 loss. Energy management is only a big issue when a has jet has to go near stall and then try to recover. Slightly using your turn angle for better AOA isn't losing anything because in a Dog fight, you are already slowed down to manage maneuvers.
100 kills to 0 , ? F 22?
Can you revisit this?

F22 hasn't yet fired in anger.

no internal pods in Block3 as there is no room to house such a big pod. some self-protection equipment might be there, but unless there is an official word on it, I'll doubt it. Targeting pod would always be external.

Better way to say it is that the pod on block 3 won’t take up the hardpoints used for weapons and fuel tanks, as it will have a dedicated extra hardpoint just for pods.

Hi,

You would never know if it ever did---but it has---. Rest assured.
Ok,
with a pinch of salt.
Ok,
with a pinch of salt.
If I remember correctly , f22 have been deployed at three places. Japan, uae, and Syria.
At uae and Japan, they have never operated in anger. And in Syria , if I recollect, the Syrian air force didn't report such a massive swatting down of their airplanes. So my pinch of salt is quite a mouthful i believe .

I pointed out the kill ratio, as I suspected a typographical error. As this ratio has been claimed for f15
.

F-22 kill ratio is in exercises against other USAF/USN aircraft when they are pitched against large number of aircraft and they come out ahead in overwhelming manner. However, there is no records of F-22 used in actual combat to shoot down aircraft but they have been used to spy and collect all sorts of intelligence.
