JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

. . .
in the 1st video they are saying it now fully build in Pakistan no parts are coming from china that is very good
This has got to be wrong. This is in blatant disagreement with reported media and PAC/CAC contract. The work share is still 58:42 respectively and will remain so for the forseeable future.

as per agreement we have an option to raise our work share upto 100% as it was reported during the early days of JF-17 program in one of official documentary on aired by PTV, having said that I am sure the current status is still 58:42

.
It will be too early, for us, to call it you know what I mean. Here is the picture to have a look at the ignored part by many here, from PAS 2019.

The question is not what the contract says but
A. What the current status is!
B. Whether it is feasible to build the mid fuselage in house and what technical difficulties are involved in this. Economics need to be considered here. I honestly dont know what the answer is so have left it open for debate.

Economically it would better to build mid fuselage it comes from out side of the country it will be more expensive and for project azm we need all the technical aspects. Even PAC not building engine for now should have the capability of maintenance and overhauling the engine which they doing.that is key point slowly build your work force and technical capability

we need to now think ahead

no doubt JF17 will keep Pakistan busy for until 2024

also we have continuous upgrade and overhaul for fleet for 180+ fighters so plenty of work

add to that exports and training for foreign staff

but what then? we need to invest now into the FC-31 project for our 5th generation programme

so by 2025 we can start production in Pakistan
