Jogi baba ki ek aur prediction Officially Block 2 production isn't started nor do we have produced 11 block 2, so such insider news are as good as early day glad tidings of IRST, AESA and what not equipped block 2
e clean fighter only)
So what I am more interested in is, what is the latest news on that, will it be part of the Block 2 upgrade, or is it an issue because of increased cost and weight?
Is this image edited right?
Nope, There is nothing coming to the block-2 apart from the refuelling probe and avionics improvements. As much as all the fanboys want it.

As for the RCS, from the horse's mouth in 2011.. There were concepts tested including a solution that was flown and tested against a hostile power back in 1998. .. NO. The cost/benefit for that is simply not worth it and the current RCS of the JF-17 has been deemed acceptable.
my calculation were similar yet people claim thunder to be massively under powered and gripen and mirage2000 to be over powered..fully loaded values shows thunder having a better T/W too. ofcourse thrust isnt the only factor showing aircraft airodynamic performance but still the most important onePossibly because most people only see the afterburner TWR and don't keep in mind that the fighters will fly most of the time with wet thrust, which is low for RD93, another point might be, that the TWR also includes the internal fuel (often 50 or 100%). I once made comparision on my own and calculated some TWRs for fighters on equal basis:
TWRs, clean, full internal fuel, with AB thrust
JF 17 B1 - 0,99
Mirage 2000 C - 0,93
Gripen C - 0,91
J10 A - 0,87
TWRs, clean, full internal fuel, with dry thrust
Gripen C - 0,62
Mirage 2000 C - 0,61
JF 17 B1 - 0,58
J10 A 0,57
As I said own calculations and althought I took the most reliable specs that I could get, it's free to everybody to take them as reliable or not. The point however is, that the AB TWR in clean config. actually shows only an ideal situation, while the performance of a loaded fighter in with dry thrust will be very different.
AESA, IRST, IFR, RCS reduction measure is all a part of JFT upgrade plan revealed by AVM shahid latif himself. Pessimism maybe your issue, not mine. There were fw on this thread who claimed there will be no twin seater but guess what, they must be dissappointed big time.
Even if they have started blk 2 induction they will not reveal it, just like they didnt reveal the final first batch aircraft induction. We may never know
We shall see in due time.
Just like we saw what became of the Saabs eh?
AESA and IRST inclusion in JF-17 is never said by AVM shahid latif or point out the article where he said?
Twin seater plans were put on hold due to shortage of funds, Even Twin seater is 3 years away according to chinese official sources.
Well some people insisted Twin seater will come along with block-2 and look what happened?
And Sire Dazzler, If I'm not wrong your sources have let you down in past. Funding crunch is a reality. Block-1 production just finished 1-2 months back. Block-2 prototype is being ground tested. Official production would start in August-September 2013 as per JF-17 Project director which is more credible than insider news.
These fairy tales (insider news) have become boring now. No hard feelings, but credibility of insider news is as good as Airforce spokesperson and ISPR insisting all AWAC are safe.
