@nabil_05 you sure about that ?

2 questions.

1. Why is the fuselage covered in top 2 pics and uncovered in last pic ?

2. Why is the front of the fuselage so broad ? JFT's fuselage is taller than the breadth.

Most probably the aircraft is covered inside the cargo plane, and that extra covering is removed before taking the aircraft out.

Following photos from March 2007(Pakistan) and August 2009 (China).

2 March 2007.

Does the JFT have blow in doors?

Looking at the pictures of it, I don't think there are any. But maybe they were closed in majority of the pics?

They would be located somewhere near the intakes if they are present.

According to China Aviation News JF-17 is going to receive a new weapons package to improve its air to air and air to surface capability. The report is very brief and it's in Chinese. It says that the Weapons II program was initiated in 2009 and has been finalized.

Here's the /QUOTE]

Does that mean second stage as in bvr and maybe cruise missiles like raad etc?

Can we have any specifications of Weapon-II evaluation. What kind of A2A and A2G parameters have been evaluated since 2009.

I think there's already an information pool, lets hotlink everything there.

I think Weapon-II evaluation are those which ACM Javaid Ahmad told in Kanwa Article and happened back in late 2011

Composites have already been started to be used, but to a lesser extend, with passage of time, the percentage will increase further.

Currently JF-17 can take up load upto 3,800-4,000KG and as time goes by and if we did get a more powerful engine, it will go up further.

With more powerful engine as well as more composites, the weapon load can go to 5,000KG or even more.

the JFT will remain as a LCA. medium loads remain the responsibility of the F-16's and once the FC-20 in inducted. there is only so much one can do with the JFT airframe.
