Is this the official specs?
Yups, they are from the 2008 IDEAS exhibition.

Maximum Thrust is wrongly printed....plus what about upgrade details? I mean upgrades which have been done, not expected?
Why not CFT for JFT?
It will give edge to JFT in multirole market.
i dont think there is any "efficient" place to put them on...
just sticking up two CFTs on the fuselage wont help......it will create lots of drag. so basically we'r adding more fuel and travelling the same distance....(range will improve BUT VERY SLIGHTLY!)
and btw we cant even think about putting CFTs on thunder because current engine is not powerfull at all...
we probably will have to wait for the chinese one! then PAF can put CFTs....but till then we have to make this fighter work...
Why do you think place is not there?
More or less same location as F-16..... attached to the fuselage above the wings.
I believe drag shall be less than compare to drop tanks!
With the available engine... sure compromise had to be made with payload... while i believe a2a missiles have less weight than a2g weapons.
Therefore, in presence of CFT and loaded with a2a missiles aided with aerial re-fueling, it can assume the role of area defence and an effective escort.
In present times while Pakistan's defence lines are extending JFT has to be adopted to developing needs.
It will also be good for naval support.
