Santro i always wonder, when JF-17 is using Western military standard processor and comm suites in Jf-17 then why still they are not able to talk with Erieye or F-16 and same case with ZDK-03 in which COTS communications devices were installed specifically for PAF?

Devices need a protocol to run.. after evaluating options..the PAF has decided to go in house and the results have been surprisingly good.

if we get new n ungraded F-16s then the total will be around 100 F-16s.100 F-16s C/D/MLU with AIM 120,JHMCS.JDAM,GBU,etc is a lethal combination.F-16 will continue to be our front line fighter till 2020 atleast.JF-17 with upgraded engine and aesa radar will qualify to replace or match F-16 for the front line fighter.

ok.. so what we will be doing if we are against USAF air crafts. As someone here said that our F16s cannot have a lock on USAF air crafts.
By the way is it all USAF air crafts or only USAF F 16's? How we will tackle them?

I think it is all about upgrades in Block II. Block III will be in sight somewhere in 2016 INSHALLAH.

JF-17 Block III was first confirmed by CAC official in dubai airshow 2011.

The Development work on Dual Seat version has already started and will be a Block-III production. Look for a significant change in engine and very advanced avionics in the Block-III.

So far the existance of JF-17 Block III is confirmed and induction is supposed to be in 2016

Lower payload and range is JFT's problem. Is their any possibility of JF-17 XL i.e., delta wing just like F-16 XL, for increased payload and range?

Someone here was wrong.
USAF may use jammers to prevent locks.. they cannot STOP the locks.

Similarly RIAT and Singapore airshows are also not on the list..only Farnborough is.
