Its more than RE. Lets leave it here. This is not a subject for public forums. @BATMAN
Whatever info pertains to this has to do with denying access to equipment for reverse engineering. Too many myths surround the F-16s based on ignorance.

Encryption validation keys via the DTC and Link16 systems primarily, plus other deeper layers.

SAAB can interface with Link-16. A kill switch would be much more deeper. DISCLAIMER: *Major speculation ahead* Something similar to RFID that lays dormant until it receives a very specific EM signal. Something in the engine or flight controls or other sensitive systems.

Joined PDF recently but i am following its postings from many years. I know many senior members who consider this machine as non-lethal but being a defense analyst i always try to make an unbiased analysis. Will post my articles here inshaAllah. Wrote much on JF-17 Thunder. It is a destiny. My marhoom teacher Maj (r) Raja Mujtaba, the founder of think tank i.e. Opinion Maker always guided me specially on the topic of Thunder and other indegnious projects of Pakistan. He named the Thunder as a 'Jewel in the Sky'. I second you on Block-III. It will be a beast inshaAllah.
Dont know which senior members with even slightest of the knowledge and information on this program you found saying that JF17 is non-lethal. :) I am sorry but i am quite sure that YOU misunderstood what they were saying. Or else can you please point me to such an argument with people saying that JF17 is crap and BS?

Or you @WarFariX since you have been here for relatively more time. Can you tell which senior or respectable member on this topic have you seen making such claims?

Ruby features some avionics similar to those found in J-10A. These include rwr, ew, fuel management and ECM etc.
Chances of something from that program ending up on our Blk-III?
With PAF involved in J31 now i will like JF17 prog to go beyond Blk-III into BLK-IV and BLK-V with some goodies from that fifth gen project incorporated. However this do not seems likely since there is not news or plans regarding the project after the initial 150 planes. On a personal level i think this is a mistake. We need lot more than 150 to fill in the numbers as well.

will JFT blk III have all the features which Abuzar has said?? I am curious to know about JFT blk III
If i may ask, WHICH post are you referring to?

.
These pictures are so intimating. Thunder with 3 drop tanks!!!

They should increase the hardpoints in upcoming blocks with next generation WVR and BVR missiles.

Imagine! A thunder with 9 hardpoints carrying 3 BVRs, 4WVRs on two hardpoints, 2 drop tanks, fuel in CFTs, 6 AGMs on 2 harpoints. It will be a perfect upgrade for a Block-III. More export orders and more money. It is destiny inshaAllah.
@Arsalan this post

.
I am sorry but this isnt even a practical load out. DO NOT MAKES ANY SENSE THIS WEAPON LOAD. @AbuzarIlyas
The only think it mentions as a possible upgrade is the increased number of hard point. Also the most probable and highly likely upgrade of an AESA is completely over looked in this particular post.

No one yet said this "non-lethal" thing but i have seen some seniors wanting something better than thunder in PAF , so to summarise , no one said that

Sir,

Most so called THINK TANKS steal their information from this website and then claim it as their own. A lots of it is exagerrated information with very little or no truth to it.

Exactly , even news channels do that , i have seen Amir Liaqat show " Aise nai chalega" in which he foolishly said pak navy has 80 submarines , while 2 days ago a kid here said that

Hi,

Young man---let me be up front with you---.

Your post shows that you are clueless as to what you wrote---if this is what you got from the 1000's of posts on this website regarding the JF17---then shame on you for so blatantly showing your ignorance and lack of knowledge---and that too with a lots of nonchalance.

Bring your A game to this board---.

Dude he just joined go easy on him. Anyway, u calling someone ignorant so harshly shows ur arrogance, man take it easy tone it down a little. You might be senior but be respectful please. Thanks

But sir, if they can deny access for reverse engineering they can also ground the plane for any other reason.

No they cannot, because they are bunch of idiots.
Though you can ground a $5K automobile, by simply dialing a number.
I'm not sure... if its ignorance or disbelief in US competence!

BTW... there's no reverse engineering possible. All you may copy is fuel tank or have some design inspiration, for that purpose you don't need to buy one, and yet we have plenty of samples. You must be wondering, where are the copies than?

Integrating a black box on motherboard was surely possible, at least 2 decades ago.
I'm not SW engineer, so I don't know how hard it is to add covert codes in SW, but when you are not allowed to fiddle with any thing, beyond joystick, you ought to be an absolute idiot, if you build your national security around such HW.

Technology is public domain... and everything is possible, but lets keep it for another moment.

Hi,
Its not about being an idiot, its about staying in your shoes and its about making the best of it.
Being an optimist does have its benefits. You are welcome to disagree with it but lets look at it this way, in a sea of whales, sharks, dolphins and the like, we are not sharks or whales, certainly not orca by a long shot but we are fast, efficient and do know how to out smart the big ones when the going gets tough.
By the way, I love F-16 the machine but the politics around is virtually making it less and less useful for us but still a toy this good has its benefits.

Idiot part was sarcasm, I hope you got it.
F-16 has no parallel and its adored by all. In Pakistan, it was this machine which wanted every Pakistan lad in late 80's early 90's to join PAF.
Without experiencing F-16, we couldn't have built or draw out parameters of JF-17.
As you rightly said, politics define direction and US defined its direction they day it withheld F-16 and imposed sanctions, further amended by presler and beyond. You don't even realize when yourself turned into a shark.
Nothing personal, but that's how this world functions!
