JF-17 Block III's proposed AESA Radar KLJ-7A

i dont think so. either this or KLJ7A. not both. having this radar might tell me that KLJ-7A is not upto mark or PAF is not happy with it. Or this radar is a private initiative to not only attract PAF but other customers around the globe more like with GRIFO did in 90s. one think for sure PAF will opt for one of them not both.

This is not KLJ7A I know that for sure because the developer of this Radar is Avic and KLJ7A belongs to a different company. Read the right bottom of the pamphlet, it has the name of the developer.

In my understanding Jf-17 has multiple AESA Radar solutions to chose from to keep the jet cheap and competitive in price tag for Africa. If so this is a good approach to entertain all type of customers and good business strategy. Now the specs on this Radar are also impressive.

.
which one of AESA is good in these two radars?

. . . . .
3 Chinese radar options:
1. LKF601E = Cheapest and fits straight onto Block 1 and 2.
2. KLJ-7A with swash plate = medium costs.
3. 3-array KLJ-7A with side looking arrays = most expensive.

The main antenna in 2 is the same as in 3. i.e. same diameter

What a beauti

. . . . .
It is too small to FC-31. But similar radars will be installed in other Chinese fighters, just like DSI that was used first in FC-1.
Is it possible bro that this (bigger one) will for all version for J-10 @LKJ86

.
3 sided KLJ-7A also has the advantage that an AESA can be programmed to jam S-400 radars. PAF should look into adding DRFM pods to the wings to gather up data and use the information to jam known transmissions in times of hostilities.
