i dont think so. either this or KLJ7A. not both. having this radar might tell me that KLJ-7A is not upto mark or PAF is not happy with it. Or this radar is a private initiative to not only attract PAF but other customers around the globe more like with GRIFO did in 90s. one think for sure PAF will opt for one of them not both.
This is not KLJ7A I know that for sure because the developer of this Radar is Avic and KLJ7A belongs to a different company. Read the right bottom of the pamphlet, it has the name of the developer.
In my understanding Jf-17 has multiple AESA Radar solutions to chose from to keep the jet cheap and competitive in price tag for Africa. If so this is a good approach to entertain all type of customers and good business strategy. Now the specs on this Radar are also impressive.
