I can’t assume anything as this pic suggests a whole upgraded nose, vertical stabilizer, lerx and inlets. So confusing

So 9 hp is not a change ? Man that would give it a whole badass look when fully loaded up

Flight Global said that the inlets will be widened a bit, but otherwise, you were quite clear that 'stealthiness' or 'low observable' (LO) airframes weren't the end-all-be-all.

Inlets are widened but still DSI

Slats are the same as the ones in B version

Tale is from the A version

Horizontal stabilizers are different

Bro, what would widening the intake be helpful for?

As the name implies, taking in more air. Remember, the bulk of thrust in a turbofan engine comes the fan that is driven by compressors & turbines thru combustion. So wider intakes means more thrust for the same fuel consumption, thus giving the flexibility to achieve longer ranges and/or higher speeds. This is not taking after burning into account.

Auction? All blk 1s are upgraded to blk 2 config. Besides, its just 11 years old. PAF will extract for 50 years.

Widened intakes needed to give more air for the more powerful engine.
