Hamara 75 saal ka tajurba hai mulk ki maa behne ek karna ka.

Lage raho ..

.
yeah 75 years of property dealing and serving their gora masters

. . .
Pak generals for 75 years with Pak except Ayub probably

True.
Ayub Khan despite his serious maltreatment with Fatima Jinnah and East Pakistan was still laser focused on critical economic infrastructure. In 1960, Pakistan became the 2nd most industrialized nation in asia after Japan.

He directly controlled the govt and had no puppet PMs to take the blame. During his tenure even E. Pak had better per capita GDP than west bengal.

After him not a single major dam, oil refinery, new city, civil nuclear power plant or even an upgrade of the irrigation system he built. While many Pakistanis continue to worship bhutto or zia for various reasons they refuse to face the facts that these two did basically nothing.

fair point, but your last sentence is a conundrum. Who can we thank for decades of Bhutto/zardaris and Sharifs? Don't blame the people.

Cannot confirm if this really happened, need to wait for confirmation.

With all the ‘praise’ that Bajwa is getting, I will be surprised they would have a change of heart 6 months down the line and claim to be neutral.

They have a change of heart every 3-4 years. 6 months is too soon.

Thanks for replying.

Ayub Khan is no angel. Interesting fact - he dismissed Gen Azam Khan as he was very popular in E. Pak just so he cannot challenge him. So, Pakistani leadership is inherently petty and greedy.

Point is that establishment during Ayub Khan's regime was more economically focused after bhuto and zia they turned to strategic. Everything is run like an insurgency for strategic reasons not economic.

NROs are a strategic need for them to pacify US/UK and demand more aid and they welcome US/UK or even KSA/UAE involvement in Pak internal affairs in exchange for more aid.

Lastly, this will not change and military establishment will never let go of politics. What we as hapless Pakistanis can hope for is a patriot financially clean general who comes to power and moves from a strategic to economic doctrine. Or may be we are asking too much.

Mohataram

He still has significant support. Dont know if it will go with him on Nov 29th since Pakistani culture is worshipping the rising sun.

Had a chat with some of his 'supporters' and they blamed everything on IK. 'They' claimed IK was sabotaging all efforts of reconciliation with political parties and hurting national unity and wanted his people in armed forces at key positions and also isolating Pakistan diplomatically.

This is BS but there are people who firmly believe in this.
