What's new

Jarba urges Syrian opposition friends for arms

you keep saying Alasad getting aid and fighters
Well u blame the opposition that they get the foreign aid, but Assad gets even more foreign aid.

Hezbollah was the last party to enter the conflict...
I dont know what this statement means. There are million parties in the world who did not enter the conflict yet.

and why do you keep ignoring 100k+ terrorists that came to Syria to fight with F$A terrorists?
Thats obviously exaggerated number. There are some 10 K foreigners in ISIS and several thousands in Nusra and other rebel fractions. And ISIS guys are fighting rebels and Kurds more than Assad.

and all the money Saudi "arabia" and qatarael spent on them and weapons from Libya and etc?? and the Libyan war is not a revolution, a revolution should be fought by the people not by foreigners... where F$A call on all foreigners to come and fight for their losing a$$... .
As I said whats going in Syria is a civil war, and foreigners are always involved in such wars.

It was in the era when technology of self guided bombs have not evolved. Manpads are useless against any modern Airforce but extremely dangerous to commercial aircrafts.Though i am not sure of Assad's Airforce sophistication but Russia is certainly going to supply guidance kits if Manpads are introduced in Syria.
1) Helicopters are extremely important for any modern army (both attack and transport) and they are very vulnerable to MANPADS.
2) MANPADS can be used against attack planes like Su-25 and A-10.
3) Guided bombs are hundreds times more expensive than dumb.

+ Stringers while being used in Soviet-Afghan war did not formed the bulk of Manpads with mujahids. Bulk of manpads with mujahids were IGLA which were supplied to them from left over arsenal of Soviet weapons with Egypt.
They had not Igla, bulk were Redeye and Strela.

there is a difference between a government and non-government... under the UN law, Russia is doing everything LEGALLY.. plus Russia stopped providing any offensive weapons to Syria... the only weapons were defensive...
it is funny, you think every opposition group in the world should be armed?? how do you like it when if Palestinians are armed to the teeth?

and the number is not exaggerated

and this is not the civil war, heck even jarba said it that, read the thread :partay: ...

this is international terrorism vs Syria... the west is trying to topple every regime that is not under its control, they used the Arab "spring" as a pretext, they toppled EXPIRED allied regimes ( such as mubarak) to manipulate that it is with democracy... and when it comes to other countries like Bahrain, the US is silent...

Well your government was arming Palestinians and Hezbollah for over 40 years and still arming. Thats another reason why u cant complain when others do same to u.

Also many things that Assad is doing in war are not exactly legal, like barrel bombs and starving.

So legality is not Assads strongest point

Palestinian case is a whole different issue... you can't mix apple with oranges here.... the Palestinian conflict is not internal it is Palestine vs Israel... while in Syria it was internal matters and no one should have interfered...

barrel bombs? they are just like any other bomb every country uses, conventional weapons? they are dropped on terrorists, wherever those terrorists are death will follow...

and who are you to decide to Syrians??

There is only one legal force in Palestinian territories - thats Palestinian Authorities. Arming other groups is illegal.

Similarly its illegal to arm Hezbollah. That is even explicitly banned by UN Sec council resolution.

Barrel bombs are indiscriminate weapon, therefore they are illegal.

.
If opposition urge more weapons, it means they are probably on the ropes.
Yabroud has been liberated by SAA and Hezbollah, cutting the last supply line to the rebels from Lebanon. :yay:

I'm sure you know that 90% of the people who have been killed or injured by explosive weapons in Syria were civilians.

Interesting how the power and alliances shift in the middle east.

Go back 45 years and it was Iran & Israel against pan Marxist Arabism supported by Russia. It was the Ruskies that actually pushed the Arab states to attack Israel in 67. This was admitted by the Russian foreign secretary.

Now it's Israel and some Arab states against the reprehensible Mullah regime in Tehran.

What stays consistent though, is Russia's meddling hand.

People talk about USA meddling in the middle east - but this is nothing compared to what turmoil the Russians have caused.
