Japanese media: China to buy S400 to deter Taiwan and Japan and India

Same things also happens in India .Su-30Mki is now quite our own.But in a reputable way with good cooperation from Russia.
I consider J-10 as the first indigenous aircraft of PRC.Because it is quite Chinese design.

Actually, the likes of the J-11B, J-15, J-16 were not developed in cooperation with Russia, but rather are developments solely by the efforts and supply chains of the Chinese; the case is different than that of the Su-30MKI in which the components of the aircraft were designed and developed elsewhere.

No .Sukhoi -30MKI is completely indigenousnow, they absorb all the technology

Copying is also an art of cheating which you guys have PHD.Dont claim or steal others effort .So we have a solution called Joint Venture and that is our culture.

If joint venture means Russia telling India to pick out a paint job it likes, then leaving it up to Russia to deliver the finished item, of course, in their own sweet time, and India having to cough up extra money for inevitable delays, then yes, India are very good at joint ventures.

Don't kid yourself by calling lop-sided partnerships a good deal for India. India never gets full ToT of latest technologies and even if they did, they don't have the technical and/or manufacturing capacity to make the most advanced systems themselves. You only get stronger as a military power by learning how to do everything yourself, even if you copy others as a template, you learn the process of manufacturing and all the associated technical problems that come with it, as well as building the base of trained human resource and infrastructure to build more weapons yourself and provide yourself with a solid platform to develop new and more advanced weapons of your own. India relying on others to design and manufacture critical systems, will remain backwards, if they continue down their 'joint venture' avenue of military development.

Oh yes .Well for Russia India is a serious customer.A single statement of IAF about mishandling of FGFA program cause extensive debate in Russian circles. If we want ToT we will get it ,no matter whatever is the cost .
When someone try to design their own system it will take at least 2 decades. That is why LCA got IOC after 2 decades.
Su-30MKI is completely produced in HAL with our own raw materials not from knock down kits in Russia.
So if we start a business ,we know how to conclude that business.
But copying another efforts will only make them enemy at least in their mind.PRC can handle it because you have a single party autocratiac system. We have democracy so we cant do that.
