Japanese Assistance to BD Mega-Projects

Rain Man is jealous that we Bengali Muslims have our own country while he has to make do with India. He cannot have a Hindu Bengali nation. We are going to build one if the great countries in the world. We have surpassed Pakistan in GDP per capita and now India is in our sights. This is what I love about an ethnicity having its own country. They get to develop it, mould it in the way they want rather than having to compromise with a bunch of other groups.
Great countries my foot. Bangla-Pradesh is still the anus of the 3rd world.
And how in the blue hell will you pass us when we are growing faster than you?

And your country my friend is the substance which comes out of the anus. Literally. Just walk outside 90 percent of India is covered in it.

It is a total of USD 4 billion @1.75% interest (BDnews reported it as 1% only) for 20 years, with additional 5 years of grace period, out of that USD 250 million has been converted to grant, Bangladesh don't need to pay it back! Besides, It is a soft credit and not a conditional one :)

And I didn't ask for a Wikipedia link, I just wanted to make you understand that a "Line of credit" is basically a loan!

We never wanted a "Hindu Bengali nation"!! :)

BD economy does not go downhill with the economic cycle like India does.

With the coming rebasing of BD GDP to 2011-2012 base year, and when India has a sharp slowdown before the end of decade, BD should surpass India by 2020 in GDP per capita.

Did you go through the link from The Hindu I posted? The credit was worth $1 billion not 4 billion. There were several conditions attached to it and the complexities of those conditions even forced the government to abandon several projects.

Line of credit is a loan but unlike the typical soft loans, they come with some stiff conditions.

I was kidding yesterday when I was being mean to Hindu Bengalis. You guys are welcome to visit Bangladesh anytime (not to stay but you can visit). My upset was due to the fact that Hindu Bangladeshis betray us time and again, mainly in the form of spying missions for Hindu India, trying to weaken the Islamic culture of Bangladesh, etc.

That was one given in 2010, and that was not the last one! Later one was a soft loan without any condition! You can google it! Total USD 4 billion offered! :)

But it's a loan after all! :)

Again bragging in future tense! :)

Don't know how I may sound but I do think there's some value in what @Bangla25 has said about Rain Man and it might even be applicable to a large number of West Bengalis. I don't find any real reason behind such hatred by them against us, consider our part, yes many Bangladeshis hate India but the hatred for India is a different thing, I've never met any Bangladeshi who hates West Bengal. Partition memories? Oh please, 70 years is a long time...

Deep inside, many West Bengalis are indeed struggling to convince themselves that they had made the right decision in '47 to remain under Indian Union especially after seeing us progressing so well. That makes them to fruitlessly highlight us as a failed state.

Even during 1947 many of the people who stayed on the other side wanted a greater Bengal. They are the patriot Bengali. Both Hindu and Muslim. Yeah majority of Hindus didnt want. They are the traitor. Rain man falls into this category.
