You're missing the point; the point is, when we go abroad and train with foreign militaries, we expose our soldiers to the local military's inventory. Its first hand exposure.

I can see that you have a problem connecting the dots. The point is wherever we go -- be it in Australia, Djibouti, US, Philippines, Mongolia, New Zealand etc etc --- our boys are allowed to use local military inventory for exposure purposes.

In Mongolia the boys used AK-47 because that's the standard issue rifle for Mongolians, Russians, as well as other CIS states.

You really have problem with comprehension. Our troops came in fully armed, in mock exercises they opted to use the AK47 since they were in exercise with the Mongolian Army. It was an interoperability practice.

The Point is this: Japan was in Mongolia, and we will continue to maintain our military relations with Mongolia , long term.
