Japan to distribute 100,000 packets of free instant rice to Chinese tourists in a bid to boost rice exports to China

The Japanese government plans to distribute 100,000 packets of instant rice to Chinese tourists, in a bid to boost its rice exports to China, Japanese media reported. The rice will be available at travel agencies in Shanghai and Beijing, electronics markets in Tokyo, and in duty-free shops at Narita Airport and Kansai International Airport.
According to Japanese media, Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries believes that China is a prime destination for rice exports in the future.
