Of course the option of the race card doesn't prevent the CPP from not respecting political opposition and preventing loosening from inflexiable iron fist control for the sake of fellow Chinese. Case in point was the PRC premier Zhao Ziyang who was against the crack down that Deng ordered onto the demonstations at Tianamen Square in 1989, an order pushed for by the CPP hardliners. Afterwards, Zhao was put under house arrest for the rest of his life, up to his death, for being against the harsh crackdown. The book called "Prisoner of the State: The Secret Journal of Premier Zhao Ziyang" is about that.

Why India? Because thats the most important country being discussed here, besides Pakistan! And a country about which I know a bit for I have a big part of my extended family living there. Ask yourself, what are the most active parts of this forum? Pakistan related, India related and China related--In that order. Though Chinese threads tend to be a circle jerk among Chinese with Pakistani cheerleading from time to time and Indian trolling at times.
