Japan stealth jet prototype set to fly in 2014

Sounds like someone is getting mighty nervous to me......That is a hilarious argument considering China is behind Japan and South Korea in semicon and miniaturization is one of the many key factors in superior avionics. If China can design the J-20, whose capabilities are still speculative, what credible arguments can you produce, the nonsensical one above is hardly credible, that Japan cannot produce a J-20 equivalent?

haha``with my expectation that u ll turn up start laying down flame baits``lol! we dont need u to educate us the fact that China is behind Japan in terms of semiconduct goods and tech stuff, but im surprised to see a 'self-labled' professor of anything failed to realize to produce a modern fighter jet is not about playing with semiconducts gadgets.!

besides i didnt say anythin it wont succeed, it might take longer time and with americans help understand professor?

have a nice day!

hardly, the only flashing moment was the Zero, and thats it, no major further modification of it. but in terms of battleships (massive yet ineffective), boomers, standard rifles type 99 (has the least impact energy), light machine gun type 11 (among the worst they had to replace with the japanese copy of Czech ZB vz. 26), the tanks were european WWI standards```etc and ironically they didnt even develop a standard issue of submachine gun`!

The zero was a good light and agile early war fighter but it lack features that were found on the American fighters they were fighting and it couldn't match later war german fighters like the Fw 190.

You guys should learn to just ignore him.... he wants attention and someone to fight with, there's no reason why you should oblige.

Japan rules the area of electronics and AI. Will love to see their stealth fighter, but I think lots of inputs from US.

Among the features the ATD-X is to have is a fly-by-optics flight control system, which by substituting optical fibers for wires, allows data to be transferred faster and with immunity to electromagnetic disturbance.

Its radar will be an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar called the 'Multifunction RF Sensor', which is intended to have broad spectrum agility, capabilities for electronic countermeasures (ECM), electronic support measures (ESM), communications functions, and possibly even microwave weapon functions.

A further feature will be a so-called 'Self Repairing Flight Control Capability' which will allow the aircraft to automatically detect failures or damage in its flight control surfaces, and using the remaining control surfaces, calibrate accordingly to retain controlled flight

Sounds scary

And the 'japan is overrated' comment is not flame bait at all...

Nope...Just an occassional reminder.

Again...If China can design a J-20, what make you think that Japan cannot design an equivalent? Consider that Japan has a longer history in aviation than China and that China depended heavily on the Soviets for the foundation of Chinese aviation, I find your criticisms of the Japan-US alliance in this matter laughable.

besides i didnt say anythin it wont succeed, it might take longer time and with americans help understand professor?
Never said you did. But I have confidence that IF Japan is willing to commit to the project, the Japanese will field at least a J-20 equivalent quicker than China did for the J-20 itself.

have a nice day!
You too.

And you should have learned by now that this is not about me or you Chinese boys or anyone else. This is a publicly asscessible forum, therefore, it is the CONTENTS of your arguments that matters. Not your egos.

now i get CarSharp mate's point, we should all ignore u, things coming from u have nothing to do to build a healthy fun form but more rants and China bashing!

This will be my official last comment to Mr.gamebit

Good...Because with comments like what I have seen so far, readers will ignore yours and your mate's after they have read everyone else's who are willing to be fair to Japan.

So advanced that they had to ship in technology and scientists from Germany all throughout the war.
In the area of transfer of technology, usually with mutual benefits, you do not transfer to a society that is incapable of using whatever it is being transfered. Working with Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan was moving towards to being a nuclear state as the US was working on the Manhattan Project at the same time...

U-234 carries Uranium for Japan.
The Uranium carried by U-234 was enough to make two atomic bombs, to blow up two American cities -- 1,235 pounds of 77 percent pure uranium oxide -- unusable by the destroyed Nazi hopes, it was destined for the Japanese atomic bomb program.
It is funny that it is a great achievement that China can re-engineered and reverse engineer many things to benefit China from Soviet technology and often with Soviet assistance, but it is contemptible if Japan or South Korea does the same with American technology and assistance.

If only that were true. You may believe that's what you're doing but nothing you do here comes close having that semblance of impartiality.
