Japan says its ready to join U.S.-led sanctions on Russia

Nonsense
Trades with Russia is less than 2 pct of total volumes.
There are estimates Germany says it can reduce energy imports and everything else from Russia to 0 within 3 or 5 years. Germany living standard may be lowered by 1 pct, Russia by 50 pct.

Russia will receive zero USD and Euros after that period.

Ok Putin can go to Beijing and ask for yuan.
Don't think that will work
Germany can turn on to nuclear.
Constructing 100 nuclear plants is not a big deal. Enough to make 10,000 nukes.

Russia economic footprint is too small. Total trades Russia with EU including energy is $300 billion less than 1/10 of Germany trades which is more than $3 trillion. You can’t threaten someone with that.
Seeing that the Green party is part of the government they will not approve opening new Nuke plants, kind of odd you don't know that seeing that you are at Germany.

.
are denying that those people said those things?
just like how japan denies its crimes?

Do you deny that those people, AFTER saying those things, took government positions like being mayor and prime minister?

Are you denying that japan in fact did protest against the south korean statues?

its everyone else's fault that japan has poor relations with them? your japan isn't at fault at all?

There are certainly propagandists that do not want good relations with japan in south korea and china, but japan is hardly innocent, it contributes just as much to the bad relations as those people that have their own goals.

For the two quotes by Abe and Ishihara, its important to consider what a statement means by including all the words they say instead of being lazy and knee jerk reacting.

For Abe, his statement includes "evidence" and at the very end "as initiated" which is probably referring to some claim that maybe he was responding too. So need to dig up the claim. What is commonly asserted by comfort women campaigners is that the, and I paraphrase, "Japanese military forcibly kidnapped over 200,000 Korean women/girls to be used as sex slaves." Three key actualities make that statement assertion false. One is that the Japanese military did not kidnap the women/girls. The Brothel owners and recruiters conducted that affair. And it wasn't in the form of kidnapping. It was by large by job application. Although the dirty aspect is that some young women that were thinking they were applying for a standard factory job were tricked into going to the brothels. So that can be called human trafficing. But it wasn't alwsys. Another aspect is that out of the brothel owners/recruiters, half were Korean. If the Japanese army wss going around banging on doors demanding young women or suddenly kidnapping women off the streets, you would thing there would be evidence of this going on. Korea during Imperial Japan times was not some sort of gulag where literal all aspects of life was controlled and suppressed. If there was a scandal of such kidnapping by the Imperial Army of girls and women, there would be an uproar. But there is no evidence of such thing happening. The other aspect is "sex slave". This was not slave. It was prostitution and most went into it willingly and many made good money even and some even got married with a Japanese soldier. The third point is the number 200,000 which is ridiculously high. For one, back to a previously stated if as many 200,000 but with no lash back whatsoever by Koreans about that at that time? Is totally ridiculous. But also, the whole comfort women thing came into light by the late 1980s and early 1990s and ever since then for over two decades while the whole comfort women agenda was being pushed and being eaten up by gulliable glory victor westerners and CCP Chinese, how many women actually came forth and stated they were comfort women? Out of the asserted 200,000.. 10% would be 20,000 women. But not even that many. 1% would be 2,000, but not even that. Only around 240 came fourth saying they were comfort women. If there were originally over 200,000, why only 240, 250 or whatever the precise amount was? For a person to be 20 in 1945 would meant to be 65 in 1990. There should be more, a lot more. But not even close to 1.0% of the asserted number.

So there you go. "kidnapped by Japanese military" is BS. "Sex slave" is BS. and "200,000" is BS. While this can still be a case of human trafficking which does still warrant recognition and apology. It's got the apologies and effort to give recognition was given. But the amount of BS that the comfort women campaigners assert is what breaks down reconiliation.

Europe Faces Harsh Reality of Finding Russian Gas Irreplaceable

  • Diverting LNG may spread crisis to Asia: BCS Global Markets
  • Russia can’t be replaced by one supplier unilaterally: Qatar

Energy-rich countries from Qatar to Azerbaijan have all pledged emergency gas supplies to Europe, but the region is quickly figuring out it can’t replace top supplier Russia.

Ongoing tensions over Ukraine and the threat of a potential conflict interrupting energy flows to Europe have overshadowed the continent’s gas market in recent weeks, causing volatile price swings. War could interfere with the massive volumes that Russia sends to the continent, about a third of which come through Ukraine.

To mitigate the risk of supply disruption, the European Union is speaking with major producers, seeking partnerships and even potential fuel swaps with Asia, where the market is twice the size of the bloc’s. Recent arrivals of liquefied natural gas have helped to ease tightness, as has mild weather, but Europe relies on Russia for more than a third of the gas it uses, and sourcing that fuel from elsewhere could spread the crisis to other regions.

“Europe has no alternative to Russian gas,” said BCS Global Markets Senior Analyst Ron Smith. “You would have to divert half of the LNG that Asia consumes in order to replace Gazprom PJSC. And what would that mean? That would mean massive energy shortages all across Asia, you would export Europe’s energy crisis to Asia.”

Supply Diversions

The volume of gas the EU needs can’t be replaced by any one supplier unilaterally without disturbing deliveries to other regions, Qatar’s energy minister Saad Al-Kaabi said Tuesday after a call with the bloc’s Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.

He added that Doha’s supply contracts are “sacrosanct in Qatar,” and the nation’s priority is to fulfill the needs of its existing customers first. Guaranteeing Europe’s energy security will require a collective effort from a number of different suppliers, he said.

For any prolonged disruption lasting through next two winters, Europe would have to curb demand, researchers at the Brussels-based Bruegel think tank said in a blog. And that uncertainty is likely to keep prices high as competition for LNG intensifies.

“As long as the situation in Ukraine is unclear and unresolved, European buyers will be willing to pay enough to attract flexible LNG cargoes to make sure inventories do not run dry,” said Oystein Kalleklev, chief executive officer of LNG shipowner Flex LNG Ltd.

Because gas infrastructure is expensive, most of the world’s volumes are typically sold under long-term contracts between sellers and buyers. Flexible deliveries from the U.S. could help, but only if the price is right.

The U.S. was the biggest LNG supplier to Europe last month and, together with other nations, helped displace Russian gas supply by a few percentage points in January, according to senior European Commission officials.

But that isn’t guaranteed to last. Europe has been the most profitable region to send the super-chilled fuel to since the end of last year but usually it’s Asia, the world’s fastest-growing market. If China’s appetite for gas re-awakens, tankers will be quick to abandon Europe and head eastward.

Filling the Gap

Meanwhile, Gazprom’s daily gas exports via pipeline plunged to its most important markets in January, to the lowest since early 2015, despite the company producing more of the fuel.

On the EU’s radar is also Azerbaijan, the Caspian nation that started sending gas to Europe at the end of 2020. Its deliveries to Europe, Turkey and Georgia are about a 10th of volumes Gazprom sells to its main export markets, and that supply was pre-sold almost a decade ago to help finance production and pipelines.

“Reality is Azerbaijan is not a competitor to Russian gas simply because of the volumes,” Elin Suleymanov, the nation’s ambassador to the U.K., said in an interview last week. “We could help with some deliveries but Azerbaijan volumes are not equal to the Russian volumes, that’s obvious. That’s something which also needs to be thought of by our Western partners.”

For now, Europe relies on the LNG that’s been arriving at its shores, helping to ease high prices. By May, Asia is set to regain its spot as a premium export market for U.S. cargoes of the fuel, according to BloombergNEF calculations.

“This idea that ‘we will fill the gap with LNG’, no, you can’t. It’s physically impossible to do, there’s not enough LNG in the world to do that,” Smith said.

Abe and Ishihara are some of the biggest traitors of Japan.
For Abe, the previous jap govt has a normalized relationship with Korea, Abe decides to mention the comfort women/sex slaves, change history book and worsen the relationship for nothing. And now Abe sings all days about Taiwan.
For Ishihara, for a supposed japanese "nationalist", he visited and dined with the US, and bought the Senkaku precisely when Japan and China are about to sign an FTA.

In the end, Japan is weakened and only US benefits.
Those right wing japanese are trash, and without the US's CIA support, they would have been killed a long time ago.

Abe has been one of the best prime minsters balancing Japanese geopolitical needs, fostering growth of Japanese Self Defense Force role, Xi on one hand and Taiwan on the other, a US that transitioned from Obama to Trump. He wasn't perfect but very good prime minister. Ishihara.. well, whatever, he's a mixed bag.

You are too naive. Do you think people here are afraid of Russia nukes?
The green is a minor party within the government. The right wing party AfD has more backing in the population. They are racists, they hate foreigners. If you want Germany to start world war 3, you are welcome. Germany can build 10,000 tanks, 10,000 nukes tomorrow.

Germany can do jckshit my lil brown German. They are still occupied by US. Lololol, 1000 nuclear plants? it would be a miracle of you can complete ONE in 5 years.

Seems Japan's Kishida is actually rather smart.
TOKYO — Japan’s prime minister has announced sanctions targeting Russia and two separatist Ukrainian regions recognized as independent by Russian President Vladimir Putin, joining an international effort seeking to pressure Russia to return to diplomatic solutions.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Wednesday that his government will ban new issuance and distribution of Russian government bonds in Japan in response to the “actions Russia has been taking in Ukraine.”

He said Japan will also suspend visa issuance to the people linked to the two Ukrainian rebel regions and freeze their assets in Japan, and will ban trade with the two areas.

Kishida repeated his “strong condemnation” of Russia for violating Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as international law.

He added: “We strongly urge Russia to return to diplomatic process in resolving the development.”
This is basically nothing, Russian trade still goes on as normal. Let's see what's the russian response to this.

.
Putin is crazy. I follow his rhetoric for a while. He feels superior to others. He lies, he makes rediculous remarks.

Anyone that thinks Russia is in the wrong in this situation is a brainwashed imbecile.

. .
I remember a diplomat saying that Japan was nothing more than a branch of the US in terms of foreign policy.

A country that can't say NO to its master.

Anyone that thinks Russia is in the wrong in this situation is a brainwashed imbecile.
Or they have been watching the BBC.

The amount of disinformation on the mainstream media is over kill.
