Not so much, look at secularism in practice in US and EU. When it comes to attack on Islam it was done under freedom of speech doctrine. I think your looking at it in silo vision. Beyond that "secularism" has been branded in Bangladesh is indian vision and version of "secularism", NOT the American one. indian vision and version of "secularism" meant and used for undermining Muslim majority population, Islamic value and aspiration and to establish minority control and abuse under "secular" disguise. We have already seen perfect examples of indian brand "secular" imposition once from 1971-1974 and now from 2009-present under Awami League regime.
In Bangladesh people from all walks of life and religion suffers most under indian branded "secularism". Because it is NOT secularism, it is hegemony and supremacy wearing secular sugar coat. In contrast, in Muslim majority Bangladesh with Islamic value and aspiration at heart, people from all religion enjoyed harmony and equity. Just like Islam provided that many thousand years, far better than indian branded "secular" imposition. See the video to see how Islam accommodate other faiths.
