Exactly. But the 'Youth' makes it sound like it's something new and exciting:
Why go far, here's what happened back in 2018:
Pakistan election raises fears of 'creeping coup'
In a country prone to military takeovers, there are fears that the army is trying to rig the election.www.bbc.com
1977 Elections are interesting. Bhutto won elections on 07 March 1977 and was toppled on 05 July 1977. The opposition demanded 50% seats in the parliament amid other demands, Bhutto declined, they really had no support and they protested violently, Bhutto government arrested them, declared martial law but a few days before the coup he was told that the military will topple you, he quickly accepted all opposition demands but on the 5th July he was toppled, arrested, jailed and hanged. I have been thinking he was tried after the Bangali war and and was punished but this happened 6 years after Bangladesh became independent.
If the ruling elite didn't want bhutto in power then why didn't they warn him before, why didn't they say to him to accept all demands or else he will be hanged? Without informing him they toppled the government and hanged him, the molvis called for jihad against bhutto and declared him out of Islam. Bhutto as a populist leader knew he won the elections, but the ruling elite wanted their piece of cake or the full cake.
