据新华社3月23日报道，当天，在中国国家主席习近平和意大利总理孔特共同见证下，中意双方代表交换关于796件套中国流失文物艺术品返还的证书。这是近20年来最大规模的中国文物艺术品返还，开创了中意两国文化遗产合作的新里程，更为国际合作开展流失文物追索返还树立了新的范例。

据介绍，2007年，意大利文物宪兵在本国文物市场查获一批疑似非法流失的中国文物艺术品，随即启动国内司法审判程序。中国国家文物局得知相关信息后，立即对接意大利文化遗产主管部门，开展流失文物的追索返还工作。历经10余年漫长追索，2019年年初，意大利法院最终作出向中方返还796件套文物艺术品的判决。

国家文物局博物馆司社会文物处处长吴旻告诉记者，中方将立刻与意大利文物宪兵进行具体对接，启动文物回运的相关工作。这次“回家”的796件套文物时间跨度长达5000年，上至新石器时代，下至明清民国时期，器物种类多样，保存状况较为完好，总体价值很高，是中国历史各时期生产生活场景、精神生活面貌、文明发展进程的实物见证。

“今天是一个盛大的节日，796件套中国文物将返还给中国人民。我们期待中国国家博物馆将在北京举办专题展览，让更多人看到这些珍贵文物。”意大利文化遗产和旅游部部长阿尔贝托·博尼索利说。

除了此次具有突破性意义的文物返还，习近平主席此次访意期间，中意双方还签署了多份有关文化遗产的合作文件，包括关于防止文物非法进出境的谅解备忘录和关于世界文化遗产地结对的谅解备忘录。

中意是文明古国，也是文物大国。作为拥有最多联合国教科文组织世界遗产地的国家，双方在文物保护修护以及打击文物犯罪等领域保持长期合作。近年来，中意两国在“一带一路”合作框架下，在文物展览、文物保护修复和文物国际合作中不断扩大交流规模，提升合作水平。

“中意文化合作项目有很多，美术、雕塑、绘画、电影、歌剧、芭蕾……通过‘文化丝绸之路’，我们向对方展示各自最精彩的一面。”博尼索利说。

近年来，面对中国流失海外文物复杂状况，中国有关部门通过双边执法合作、外交谈判、捐赠返还等多种方式，促成文物返还。圆明园鼠首兔首被法国皮诺家族归还中国，流落异乡的青铜“虎鎣”几经波折终于回归故土，美国返还361件套中国流失文物……一件件承载民族记忆的宝贵遗产相继回家。

每一种文明都延续着一个国家和民族的精神血脉，需要薪火相传、代代守护。留住文化根脉，守住民族之魂。这批796件套文物，唤起中华民族多彩的历史记忆，更成为东西方文明交流的新佳话。
