Let us be realistic. These second hand buys are cost effective and much much better than Toyota Hilux, any day! In COIN ops these are the vehicles to use. Fast, protected and highly maneuverable with basic firepower which can be enhanced if need be. What more do we need??
MRAP.

now look at Toyota truck , then let all know which one is the real garbage from both .

. .
For light ops these do not seem like a bad options, FC could benefit from these and other units that only have pickup trucks for getting in and out of hot spots. Not to mention these offer all round protection compared to the rudimentary vehicles (light trucks) the army is currently using. The Army has procured MRAPs for high risk environments so I am sure these will have a practical use. Not to mention the army may choose to convert them into ATGM vehicles, communication vehicles, recon, etc. But this is just my opinion

.
SPH's too :azn:
In that case, the wish list is very large.

SPH has a different purpose, not only it sits far behind friendly lines but howitzer indirect fire is not always needed in COIN war, but an MRAP is necessary for daily troop transport, assault, med evac and other related duties in war zone. MRAP is driven into danger zone everyday.

It's great thing we got them on really half price and we are using things which are 50 year old but these were made in 2001 to 2004. Dude they will be great specially if they are coming for FC which never used something like these before @Bravo
