It may not be a bad idea for China to war with India to prevent US further military adventure

The way to take on India without fear of Indian revenge is to break India apart.

Unlike monolithic North Korea, everyone in India hate the domination of Hindustanic race. Upon the right time, the Tamil, Marathi, Gujarat, Malayalam, Muslims, Sikh, Bihari, NE, Assamese and everyone will wage war against Hindi race.

India will be 20 pieces.

Everyone will be happy.

All the baby India will be friend of China.

The only problem is nuclear weapons. If the US isnt even willing to attack North Korea despite its early Cold War conventional army, I doubt China would risk it with India as well.

.
"The Americans will fight the Chinese, right down to the last Indian"... do not doubt that for a moment!

.
In a conventional war China will never be fighting India alone. India will be backed up with all intelligence and aid America can silently afford to amplify any harm India can inflict on China and reduce chances of Indians getting caught offguard. America would love to sacrifice India to throw back China.

.
China has not shown its muscle for 30 years. Both Americans and Taiwanese look down on China's military power. US, Taiwan and some other US pawn countries dare to challenge China because China was too soft. The war will give US and Taiwan a warning. The world only respects power. Showing power sometimes is the best way of self defence.

War with India is better than war with US. China needs to give world a show case by beating India very hard.
Very good news for us in Vietnam
India will ease chinese military pressure on the northern and eastern flanks.

The Chinese military pressure is completely different on Vietnam than it is on India. It is the Western Theatre Command pressuring India while the Southern Theatre Command is pressuring Vietnam. The nature of the pressure is also completely different: one is exclusively army focused and the other is naval. The only land threat that is posed to China is from India, so much more army assets could be shifted to Tibet to bear against India without interfering any other PLA operations.

This is not something to lightly get drawn into. US wants China to destroy their trade relations. We don't know how Europe would react to a China-India War. If things get really bad for China in that there is gutting of manufacturing of Chinese factories, due to sanctions over war, China's rise is lessened.

China has nothing to lose in military build ups. Spending 5% of GDP on military to scare India. Peace through strength.

Currently India has the support of Russia, US and Israhell. Along with Australia and the UK.

China is at an era where China is one of the chief world powers because China did not get into wars. She is part of the permanent members of UN security council. I don't believe she was back in Korean War when she was fighting the US. If she was and lost, there could be part of the peace treaty that China is stripped of that title.

China is a war victor of the world wars. Something Germany, Italy and Japan are still being punished over. Occupied and not allowed nukes, and not allowed a strong military, and chaperoned. Independence gone because of losing a war Italy thought we could join and win. Start wars is not smart when China is top economy in the world, top conventional military in the world, number one in trade, and number one in growing technology. The West is ready to turn Chinese into Osama Bin Ladens. Deserving of death and poverty.

Peace through strength, Peace though ties with Europe, Islamic world, East Asia, Latin America and other places. Let US be the bully. And don't give India a reason to clean up their streets. Indians are sad and beneath China.

What? Indians think China is "sick man"?? Are u crazy?
Indians are well aware of Chinese power; in fact it is the chinese which are under-estimating indian capabilities in these mountains we call home.
In spite of chinese patronship of naughty boi pakistan, Indians actually had a healthy respect for chine but this event, which is seen in india as an attack on india soil by china, has changed all that.
Many members here want to split india but alas your little chinese galwan adventure has had the exact opposite effect. Indians have come together and right-wing nuts are super happy coz now the left wing and opposition etc will be forced to be quiet.

Couldn't have summed it up better. Indians so far took used to inspiration from rise of China. But this changed everything. Unilaterally trying to alter the LAC is no less than declaring open hostility against a giant neighbour. China turned India their enemy for a decade at least for reason. Earlier too both armies used to cross each other's path after buckloads of drama but used to go to back to their barracks. Bcz of rapid infra development by India well within their part, Chinese tried to resort to this. And what followed ? now a largely peaceful border area is full blown militarized zone and speed of infra development is now 4x. With the change in status quo, what Chinese gained ? Few barren KMs with no strategic advantage bcz the road they cited as Indian aggression is well complete with more to follow. But what they gained along with it is hostility with a giant neighbor for no reason. They underestimated Indian response (both public and military) to a large extent. Cost of engagement in money terms is no more than peanuts for both India & China. A useless piece of adventure

China's military is focused entirely on the US, just as the US military is focused entirely on China (also put Russia into the mix). India is nothing but a backwater for the PLA ... the best and most well equipped troops are stationed to face the South and East China Seas. 90% of the PLA could be out fighting different wars and the remaining 10% in Tibet is not only sufficient to defend it but can also go on the offensive against the likes of India. This is the unfortunate reality of the discrepancy between China and India's armed forces.

just look at all the posts by other Indians around you about how the elite western trained, martial race Indian military would obliterate the 1950's cold war Chinese military filled with cowards.

They claim that they can conquer all of Tibet easily and are just looking for an excuse given by China to do so.

Even Indian Air Force believes that J-20 is far inferior to Su-30 MKI and would be easily shot down.

Best of luck.....

India is being very foolish. India had a diplomatic understanding with China in past decades. It did not threaten Bejing and kept out of its way. India enjoyed a quiet lightly militarized border with China for many decades. It could use this space to focus on Pakistan exclusively. Today India is strategically conspiring against China with external actors. It is provoking China on its borders. Why should China retain a quiet lightly militarized border? India may soon find that status quo has changed and it may now have two hot borders.

India spends a few million dollars upgrading crappy roads in Eastern Ladakh. In response, China announces a over 1 trillion RMB initiative to turn Tibet into a fortress. This is what happens when you make extremely poor decisions.

india, taiwan, japan, korea and vietnam need to wake up and smell the coffee (the green tea rather). end of the day, they can change friends but not neighbors...they need to understand that their adopted big brother uncle sam still has horrific nightmares from the korean war days when their near complete victory was thrown into the pacific ocean victory when the PLA marched from the mountain tops pushing them into the waters. because of that, they need to understand that the ol' uncle sam is not there to protect them, rather, ol' uncle sam is there to fight China to the last indian, vietnamese, korean and japanese. China is more than capable of eliminating every single one of these neighbors in a matter of hours, not days. We ARE talking about the 3rd largest nuclear weapons stockpile after all. I sincerely hope that these nations are not counting on the u.s. to prevent such an annihilation...it won't risk its own neck for these nations. do yourselves a favor and don't be a sacrificial lamb for the old farts sitting in washington.
