It is time to learn Chinese

The tittle should be "IS it time to learn chinese(which is not even a language retarded writer i guess) ?
and my answer will be NO why in the world i would learn chinese...............

Agreed. Dont learn Chinese. India has maybe 3 Chinese speakers. Chinese is too hard for Indians to learn. Don't even try.

tbh even if China crashes it will still be better off than India. It's better to have some ghost cities than have giant slums

... and the way giant slums are vanishing, it could be double bad news... for chinese pretenders in belgium

do any US citizens of Chinese origin here on this forum calling themselves "we Americans"?

If they hold U.S passport and say they are not "Americans" it is treason - Remember they have gone through the Oath of Allegiance. It is time they introspect their loyalty to the country.

Remember one of the principles they adhere to is

renunciation of allegiance to any foreign country to which the immigrant has had previous allegiances

So according to you..being ghost is better than being poor..

I don't think you realize that even though that China urbanization is far from 100% efficient, it has been largely successful in its main goal. Putting roofs above millions, enhanced mobility, infrastructure for the market, wide-spread education and better life circumstances.

You Indians remind me of the people in Belgium who are saying the NMBS (belgian railroad) is crap caus it runs every year a profit loss (just like the Chinese railroad). But they are forgetting that the NMBS (and I'm pretty sure the Chinese railroad too) aren't made for profit but to move goods & people around. It's very easy to make the NMBS profitable, just scrap all unprofitable lines, stops and retire the small town stations. The downside is that people can't get to their jobs or have to rely on cars, just a general lowering of mobility. So even though the Chinese railroad system runs massive losses the government knows it's all worth it, in exchange people can travel all through China for jobs, less cars, less pollution, less highways etc...

Same thing can be said for the Chinese infrastructure. Yes it creates debt yes it there are ghost cities but in the end people have a roof and the areas create much more industry

I needed a couple of hundreds LCD monitors a few days ago and floated am inquiry in a few websites, including alibaba. LOL a lot of chinese firms responded to the inquiry in English with a number of female representatives with funny anglicized names and they keep calling me with awfully funny accents.

But one thing is for sure the Chinese have moved up the value chain and hiked up their prices - probably has to do with an increase in labor costs and consciously intending to come out of the cheap manufacturing bracket. I wanted really cheap stuff, crappy quality was OK with me, so I went Chinese but the higher prices put me off. I used to get ridiculous prices for other stuff which were unbelievable from Chinese, and when i discussed these rates with Indian firms they were surprised as to how these Chinese managed such rock bottom prices.

but the Chinese accent even their writing skills in English is funny, but they have improved slightly. they sure send those square boxes in a few of their mails, but I never attempt to translate that and send those mails to the dustbin.

Whats the benefit of learning Chinese? If its for communication purposes, I would rather learn Spanish and can travel 90% of South/Central America or learn French and visit majority of African countries or learn Arabic. Even knowledge of an Indian regional language like Malayalam or Hindi can help you a lot in Gulf countries when compared to Chinese.

My Dear Pakje, China too have giant slums.

Indeed I even saw a documentary of Japanese slums but you don't need to be a genius to see China is taking the problem more seriously than India

Please read this article to clear much of your confusions and also have a look on the graph which is highly informative. India performed much better than China in slum reduction.
