What's new

It Is The WMD Moment Once Again For The USA:---

What are you even talking about? lol

For all intent and purposes, Pakistan has won the Afghan war and secured our strategic interests in the region after a long, hard, and costly war which was, at times, against U.S interests.

Pakistan will discard China or US or both if the national interests of Pakistan demanded so. For now, we are happy the way things are going ;)

Personally, I am looking forward to U.S putting its boot down on China----it will create a more balance world order with era of super-power (US) being over, and multiple great powers emerging (China being one). Its good for regional powers like Pakistan.
Chill hero, we don't want any boots in China or Pakistan. But the truth is US will readily discard Pakistan while we had been loyal to the alliance. That's the bitter truth, and there is nothing wrong with Pakistan securing her own interests.

.
yes..from 2020 armageddon will happen but in the M.E.....

.
Trump isn't gonna do shit
He can't if he loses. I think China is having a wait n see approach. Don't forget the Saudis and Russia will most likely support China due to the oil war, digital rmb will gain traction.

The Europeans will also think twice because of the economic destruction, they need Chinese Market to survive. So US is not as powerful as it seems. Don't forget Trump pissed off most of his European allies by acting cowboy.

This leaves Japan Australia as the loyal dogs. Even UK is playing two sides to gain benefit, Boris is still sticking with Huawei.

People are forgetting US printed nearly 5 to 6 trillion while Europe will do the same, who is gonna finance these money with real goods? China? Its not a simple game my friend.

That's a very Indian/Subcontinental expression lol. Didn't know it was used in Singapore as well.

In any case, long-term interests of China-Pakistan align very well---hence both countries have been very well to each other with true strategic alliance without any backstab or serious fallouts. I'd want it to keep this going as well :)

The U.S needs to get out of our region/backyard. For that, Afghan peace process is a welcome step for us, China, and entire region.

U.S navy can roam around oceans all it wants, but it should just stay away from other countries' lands.

Hi,

I agree with all of you guys to what you wrote and posted---but----please do understand that the US is prepping and readying the stage for what is to come against China---.

Be it war---economic issues or other kind of action---if US did not have china in its sights---the tone would not be that aggressive on a continuous basis---. There would be a relief valve setup somewhere to release the pressure to diffuse the situation---. But this fire is being fed right from top down---.
It may also be like "with us or against us" scenario....

Don't know about others, in my industry the "segregation" has already started....

Interesting times ahead...

If countries like Turkey and Pak can keep their cool "Realpolitik" they'll be able to immensely benefit from this...

Hi,

Turkey will benefit immensely---but not pakistan---.

As Turkey is setup for success---Pakistan otoh not so much---.

Yemen crisis would come to haunt it one more time---.

See---some of the powers to be don't want to see pakistan break the chains---.

Yemen crisis was a blessing in disguise with Obama behind it---. It was his way of paying back to pakistan for the OBL drama and he saw that pakistan had suffered from no fault and allowing pakistan to enter the arena would allow it to adjust its power position and gain immensely.

@Hakikat ve Hikmet --- it is sad how thoughtless my pakistan people are---. They had and have no clue how important it was to have US and UK allow you to place a massive military force in the GCC---.

That was a life changing moment for Pakistan---. That was a FORTUNE changing moment for pakistan---.

China may be thinking they can resolve this eventually through some win-win agreement where both parties prosper, I fear they may fail to understand the nature of their adversary, who seeks nothing less than complete control, and will gladly accept near total destruction with control over enormous growth with shared control.

China is not interested in the drivers seat but more in building and maintaining the vehicle, the problem is they may not be allowed even that much, because that would be a critical part of control.

I,m afraid 3rd parties acting like hyenas waiting to see the 2 parties crush each other will only push China to accept a marginal role in return for survival which would be such an unfortunate outcome, I see this very likely happening.

We use it in Singapore and Malaysia, but I am from mainland China educated overseas and had been working overseas until I was transfered to Shanghai. I saw first hand how China handled this. Anyway, Pakistani and Chinese interests aligns properly, we need to keep India in check we need US out of Afghanistan and we need to keep IOR free for open navigation.

To some extent you are right but Trump is a black Swan event just like the virus. The virus will destroy trump, Biden will win. He will appear anti Chinese at first, both will sit down, the deep state will negotiate with CCP, there is gonna be a Tordesilas treaty.

Hi,

Oh wow---. Very interesting comments---.

Bottomline---pakistan cannot and will not discard china---. It will never happen---.

Pakistan has no " national interest " per say---but just to survive the crisis that it has found itself in for the last one decade---.

Now if you claim the "surviving" is a national interest---then ok---if that is how you think---.

I understand we get carried away once awhile---but to talk of getting rid of US and china---hehehehehe:cheers::cheers::cheers:

There will not be a 'kinetic war' between the US and China, let me clarify it again. It will be held on the financial front instead . Whatever the US do, they will make sure that the sanctity of USD$ as the global currency is not undermined. We have to wait and see how this financial mega war between two Titans plays out.
As PAKISTANIS, our best interest is not to become a collateral damage as this upcoming financial war unfolds. PAKISTAN first.

No, I said only if its in our national interest then we will discard US/China etc. But we both know it won't be in our national interest to discard these big powers completely :D (And neither would it be in US or China's interest to completely discard Pakistan in South Asia).

I am just curious about IoR developments and whether China decides to invest heavily in Pakistan Navy, Naval Bases, and Joint-Operations to keep India at bay in the Indian Ocean.

Indian naval size is too big to handle for Pakistan on its own. Wonder how Chinese see the rise of Indian navy

Hi,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your presence---.

Till yesterday---china was the apple of the eye---today it is fast becoming a pariah state both for the US and for europe as well.

Currently Germany Italy & Spain have gone against china---sooner other nations will join in---.

So some european countries on one side---the US on the other side---legal demand---cases started against china in their local Kangaroo courts with judges on their sides passing out dangerous unprecedented judgements against china---it could get horrific---very quick---very fast---.
