Istanbul Armenian MP: China developed 3 times more in 10 years and passed Turkey

.
Really?
Turkey basically does the reassembly works by using key components from Europe and USA, just like gunship, tank, corvette, and so on.

Nope.
If you look at T-129 it does everything apart from the engine. Yes it did licence the Italian A-129 airframe but Chinese WZ-10 was based on a Russian design.
Follow on helicopter ATAK-2 is aimed to be 100% Turkish.

1. Russia just provided consulting services at the beginning, but the design of Z-10 was finished by China independently, and all of its components are made in China.

2. The engine is the key component of T-129, and it has to get the permission from USA. Otherwise, the gunship can do nothing.

3. Never discuss something still on the drawing board.

China doesn't live to prepare wars, military is a very tiny part of our economy but China is still among the top 3 arm exporters in the world, Turkey was nowehre to be found on the ranking list. You hype won't change the obvious fact that Turkey is in big trouble in both economy and international affairs now, blindly don't try to defend the undefendable.

To be honest, a huge chunk of China's arms exports goes to just Pakistan - may be around half.
That is not a bad thing as the JF-17 proved that it is a capable fighter last month when it was able to take on SU-30MKIs.

Last year, Turkish arms exports touched just under 1 billion US dollars but the fact is that exports are growing very fast. Just the contracts they signed last year and this year with Qatar are worth many billions of US dollars.

If you look 5 years ago, Chinese arms exports was also minuscule but has now grown much bigger now as buyers gain confidence in Chinese tech. The same thing is now happening with Turkish military tech as well.

Both China and Turkey are doing quiet well in the military tech area.

I don't think top 3 exporters can be dismissed as minucule as you claimed.

The five biggest exporters in 2010–2014 were the United States,Russia, China, Germany and France,

Don't fudge numbers in your head, if you really love Turkish weapons, why didn't your country buy almost all your weapons from Turkey? Your army is like a second PLA.

'Around 35% of China’s arms supplies went to Pakistan between 2013 and 2017, followed by 19% to Bangladesh. Dhaka procured 71% of its arms from China over the five-year period, and Myanmar 68%.'

Well I did not say exactly half did I?

Anyway both Pakistan and BD are not exactly buying Chinese hardware for the quality now.
Pakistan gets it's weapons on soft loans and BD just wants cheap hardware that is reliable.
Saying that Chinese weapons are improving rapidly right now and the JF-17 performed very well against India last month.

Pakistan is spending many billions of dollars on Turkish ships and helicopters purely based on quality. The Chinese Z-10 was rejected in place of the Turkish T-129 and that should say something.

Turkish defence industry is only now maturing and a much more economically stronger BD will be in a position to buy from them in the future.

Tell me when that happens, I don't see Turkey can have a bigger share in the world arms market, but I m very confident that China will, just like our phones in barely a decade from non existance to world dominatio, China's military industry also develops in leaps and bounds which starts to make US lose a lot of sleep. You talked a lot but I don't see much actions, tell me when Turkey becomes your country's main arms provider, until then whatever you say is just hot air.

It is not about modest. We Chinese simply think the PPP indicators are showing misleading messages, or even wrong messages. That's why we never quote any PPP numbers, even if PPP number could make China look better.
China understates its PPP deliberately to avoid alarming USA. PPP can be manipulated. Nominal GDP cannot be.
