It does not say anything about S300 which is not installed configured as low alt point defense but high alt area defense. But it says something about Syrian shorads since shorads job as point defence is to take care of these types of threats at its terminal stage like cruise missiles thawk popeye etc.. Either the shorads are not installed in effective positions most are in latakia commanded by Russians or there seems to be an effectiveness issue. As most late attacks are made far from airbases we can guess that jamming of pantsyr or osa radars didnt take place either.
Also another issue is everytime arms storages in airbases are targeted by israel. It would be pretty stupid to repeat the same mistake over and over so possibly it was a diversion like wooden mock bombs storage to fool spy sats or similar.

huge blast which struck near Damascus airport early on Thursday was caused by Israeli missiles hitting a “military position”, Syria’s state SANA news agency reported.

“A military position southwest of Damascus International Airport was targeted at dawn today by an Israeli aggression using several missiles fired from occupied territory, sparking explosions in the area,” SANA said, citing a military source.

In the terminology of the Syrian regime, occupied territory can refer to Israel inside its internationally recognised borders.

The missiles caused “material damage”, the source said.
