Featured Israel-UAE spy base on Socotra targets Iran, China, Pakistan

I couldn’t agree more. UAE and Oman are two nuisances that need to be dealt with.

It makes it very essential for Pakistan, Iran and China to cooperate very closely.

Not long ago UAE was a goddess on PDF. You dare not talk about it other than throw rose petals at it it. Today Emirates is in alliance with Israel and India. I said this as much. Now give it few years watch how Saudia Arabia wraps itself around the Zionist Israelis.
This thread exposes the low quality of education in Pakistan. Why would Israeli's need to spy on Pakistan when they can get a X-ray of Pakistan's innards from -

  • UAE
  • USA
  • Saudia Arabia
and anything left over they can get from India's vast array of informers in Pakistan?
In addition Pakistan is seen as a tiny insect by Israel. Of no value. The only irritant is the possibility of nuke proliferation but that is left to USA, Europe, Russia and China to police Pakistan.

The Israeli's literally have USA, Europe, UAE, Saudia Arabia in their pocket and cordial relations with Russia and China. The only country that annoys them is Iran which they have castrated, stapled and sliced into becoming a castrated eunuch. This they have done by pulling on their buddies USA, Europe, Saudia, UAE etc
That is nuclear bomb of a post. I was in Pakistan recently. The village I come from was always poor. The rocky, hilly land could not support much agriculture so decades ago sons from our village would be forced to seek employoment elsewhere. The favourite was army. Generations of our boys signed up. Over the decades education and upward mobility has reduced that trend but even today many boys join the army from poor families.

Next to our ancestral home lives such a family. As I was passing their gate I was called by the grandmother of the family. As I went in I met a old lady who told me she was friend of my mother. So after that I made a point of visiting here and sat there listening to her stories. One day I went there and she was crying. Her grandson who was only 19 years old had been seriously injured on the LOC. I saw the pain on that ladies face. I felt the pain of that young soldier. I cursed the Kashmir problem. Later I found the young soldier had lost a leg and would be pensioned off. He was lucky many such boys from poor villages lose their lives.

Bravdo and bluster is fine on PDF. But the suffering is borne by the poor. Fact is not one soldier in Pakistan has lost his life at the hands of Israeli Army. But 1,000s have at hands of India. Yet our fcukin public laps up Bollywood, Indian songs, Indian rubbish by the millions.

But mention Israel and they get convulsions and start frothing ....

Israel and Koshers are scum of the earth but for Pakistanis to loose sleep over it and caring for backstabbing Palestinians and Arabs is schizophrenic at best, I say like Gaddafi they are both nutters, but you say its a problem of education I say its mindset to be honest educated folks I noticed from Pak also tend to focus much more on the Palestine/Israel issues and how Israel threatens the Pakistani state has to due to the mindset thought earlier on as for Israel/Palestine should just be neutral at this point

They are a direct threat to Pakistani seas and the enlargening Pakistan Navy.

The Arabian (aka Pakistanian Sea as Ch. Rehmat Ali referred to it) must remain free of hostile forces.

Pakistan could easily deal with Oman and expand our Naval power over the Arabian sea.

In case of war, Indian oil shipments can be blocked, so too Indian access to Chahbahar and Oman.

True. When I was in Pakistan I was talking with a retired university lecturer. He began to go on about how we lost out because we abandoned our culture. A example he cited was did English give up their dress codes when they were in Asia. Feeling this remark a bit too personal [I was wearing my chino/blazer combo inspired by 1980s American Miami Vice series] I hit back with "what dress were our ancestors wearing when they got fcuked by Sikhs in 1790s and by British in 1849"?

Brother
Strategically and globally what significance do these 2 nations offer? Take away the black gold - which is incidentally becoming less relevant - they are just pawns to be used and abused.
The real powerhouse is China and its strategical partners.
I have never expected or held hope the arbee would come up trumps. Having a back bone is something these popsicle nations struggle to find. Let them have the limelight for what it’s worth - a day - a month - a year? Not much more IMO

People in Pakistan who do want to see the country move forward often think its the lack of education is the issue it is is a major factor but even if you built a dozen of MIT or Harvard institutions you will still have the same mindset you and I encounter every day by fellow Pakistanis or in the diaspora the thing is mindset and identity we dont have that or its very half assed version

many PDFers here are actually quite smart and educated but you know what turns me off from them is their mindset of hyping Pakistan is equally tied to pseudo-Islamism and you make a good point about the whole "clothing cultural war" issue my fathers family were lower to middle class in the 70s I see pics of my pops and his brothers all wore wearing like cringey 60s and 70s fashions or suits but my grandpops and older gen wee wearing Shalwar

We need to be under no illusion. After UAE backstabbing and recognition of Israel their intentions are crystal clear. UAE is a toxic and unreliable island.

The original article in trtworld did not mention any spying on Pak then some Indian "analyst" talked about how this base will be used for spying on Pak and thats published in a Pak newspaper. No evidence, no logical reason given, only his "views", tenuous at best, disingenuous at worst.

I'd call it disinformation with respect to the news about spying on Pak.

Was the UAE ever a goddess on PDF?

If anything we should have dealt with them years ago but with so many Pakistani's working there, thanks to years of inept governance by the PML-N and PPP as well as Musharraf's stupid economic liberalization program, it became difficult to deal with them without losses of remittances.

We opposed UAE's brutal campaign of terror in Yemen:
War Crimes Report on Yemen Accuses Saudi Arabia and U.A.E.
US, UK, Turkey urged to arrest UAE 'war crimes' suspects

The UAE has long been a hub of organized crime and money laundering for many of Pakistan's worst criminals both in Parliament and beyond:
UAE Needs To Make “Major” Reforms To Tackle Money Laundering, Says Global Watchdog
Dubai real estate labelled as money-laundering haven in new report - Canadian Television
Dubai is a ‘haven for money laundering’ - TRT News

They've long been believed to be financing not just Hindu terror but also liberal/secular terrorists like the BLA in Pakistan:
MPs told Russia, India and UAE involved in Baloch insurgency

I had to travel to the UAE last year. Got a beautiful, large sea view condo next to the beach but I did not like the experience. Admittedly I was busy doing a lot of other things but I enjoy my time in Pakistan more even Toronto has a better walking experience for me and don't even get me started on how horribly hot it is during summers with no escape whereas in Pakistan I can just travel to Murree or Gilgit. Another friend of mine, also a Pakistani-Canadian, who traveled there a few months earlier felt the same way.

I think there's a minority of people who think Dubai is something special and by extension want to feel like they're special in some way for being there or owning property there. However, most just go there for money making opportunities regardless of their background (ex. Pakistani, Indian, etc...) and don't really give a damn about the place.

Like the rest of Yemen.

Like I said before not sure why anyone even listens to Fazlur Rehman.

Supports the PML-N but also opposes the mandir in Islamabad which Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N agreed to build with Pakistani tax dollars literally financing shirk.

He's a complete fraud and this was just another example.

As for those who may or may not have supported that "haram barrel of diesel" it should be a welcome change that more are turning against him just as it would be a welcome change to see more turning against Billo Rani and the PPP or Maryam and the PML-N, etc...

Well that's not happening but we must always remain vigilant and need to push for an industrialization focused government mandate and policies to escape their clutches.

However, my view is that the UAE-Israel normalization is more of a move against Turkey and attempting to bolster Trump in the upcoming elections because there's a real danger they'll face harsh sanctions and other actions over their terrorism in Yemen.

Considering Turkey and Pakistan's burgeoning ties, which hopefully will and should culminate into a mutal defence agreement between our two nations, it's not surprising that they'd do this as well.
For survival of a nations security it's future, it's not a problem to lose a few hundred thousand pakistanis working in UAE or KSA?
Ask them, can they afford to stop all the pakistanis at once and to throw them back?
I don't think so, cause both of these countries have a lot of secret projects with only pakistanis working there, if it ill going hurt pakistan, it ill bring a lot of pain to UAE and KSA too?
Pakistan can take all the losses cause it doesn't hve much to lose, but with pakisran going towards Iran turkey these Arab states will become a birds nest, and anyone can jump in and destroy it, Hotti rebels are enough for doing that?
On PDF we also look for our intersts and countries friendships depends on intersts so if UAE is going towards our enimies
Then we too have to look somewhere else!
and that's what we doing right now, but if pakistan ill be threaten by anyone then pakistan has all its right to send some dozen SHAHEENS and GHURIS to let them understand real power iwhich pakistan have,
but I'm very hope full that time won't be coming

Strategically speaking Oman is the biggest concern as it provides Indian Navy the depth it needs and a larger cost line. If I’m not mistake Oman had some sort of deal with IN for resupply and a listening post several years back. UAE is just a little bonner in the region besides it’s black gold economy it will have nothing to offer. The Pakistani leadership failed in contacting Oman when this deal was going through; so get the Chiefs to reign in Oman.
