Overthrowing a government isn't going to be so easy, especially a government backed by the military. This government specifically raises the salaries of the army soldiers and police to make sure they will get their back.
It's tough also because in the last " elections " El Sisi won in a crushing way because noone even bothered to go down and go to the elections since they knew that Al Sisi would take the elections anyway, whether it be a fair way or not.
Also, as my friend @
Hazzy997 has pointed out,
demonstrations will probably be faced with death. People are slowly realizing that this government isn't exactly what they hoped it would be though. If they continue such policies I'm not sure they will last in power for a very long time. The country can't stand facing another revolution, the economy is in a bad shape and the prices are rising. ( Note : before anyone says I'm from the Muslim Brotherhood, I'm not and I was strongly against Mursi when he was president )
Regardless, overthrowing this government doesn't mean that we'll immediately go to help Palestine. Military help is out of question for a very long time. Also I don't think it'll be Egypt pulling the trigger and starting a war. I'm expecting Israel to want to occupy Sinai again for " security " reasons and the whole world will be like " Hey, Israel deserves to be secure! ". Otherwise, I don't see a military conflict anytime soon.
What Palestine needs right now is not just military support, but political, deplomatic and even moral support. There should be some pressure on Israel from some countries. Ecuador did a good initiative today withdrawing their ambassador. If more countries follow the same steps, this could hopefully create the needed pressure on Israel to stop the aggression.
Palestinians aren't asking for much, Hamas proposed a 10-year truce today but I don't think we heard back from Israel. This whole crisis can be solved if Israel would agree to a two-state solution and going back to Pre-1967 borders. That isn't much to ask for, these borders only give Palestinians like 22% or something of the total land.
