Seems there been a significant progress in the negotiations between the sides. There is a good chance now that a deal can be reached.

Under the deal , Lebanon would be allowed to build it's offshore rig 5 km from the existing Israeli offshore rig. In return Lebanon would remove it's objection to Israel operating their rig.

This deal would benefit both sides.

Israel offshore platform is already complete and we can start operating it right away. Lebanon , who is in a dire economic state , would finely be able to get some break , specially with the current gas situation in the word being what it is.

Both sides would now have a mutual interest to keep the peace.

See, many countries are happy that Russian shares will be distributed among them. I mean Israel started a war way before everything in middle-east.
