What's new

ISPR: Economy is doing great! Pakistan Zindabad!

The basics already exist in a rudimentary form. It is only a matter of proper support to initiate progress.
Yes, but the basics have existed for quite a while now, and I don't see Pakistan investing in its future. Our industry will continue to churn out bad quality ancient products. Pakistanis have a bad work ethic, and I don't see them overcoming their pathological inclination towards easy pay offs. They cannot be bothered to work hard for quality products and services.

Well, this where we hope that the promise of a naya Pakistan will be different than the way things were done in purana Pakistan. Let us see if the reality matches the rhetoric.

It won't.

P.S. I voted for IK.

But you are not allowed to say that. If you do, obviously you are scum. If you have false flags, are living off your abba hazoor and graduated with a GPA of 2.5, you are qualified to advise a Ministry. :D

Seriously though, what PMIK has promised to fix is a very tall order indeed. But he has to start somewhere.

PMIK does not understand how the market works, which is quite obvious form his new housing scheme.

I am sure he understands enough to get to where he wanted to be. Win-Win all around, it seems.

I rather think it's a case of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" along with, as you already said, tragic mediocrity.

I suspect you are one of the hated scum around here. :D

We might be on the road to hell, but please do so with the prescribed optimism. Continued negativity is not permitted. Please watch the video in the OP again and again till you feel appropriately.

Time has proven that whenever Pakistan is faced with challenges, we come out victorious.

In the country, yes. But fortunately I have a few staunch fans who make up for the hate. :P

You know, you really can't blame the average Pakistani for his sins, whatever they may be, but it's the lack of ambition on part of the capable enough Pakistanis which really saddens me. I have engineers in my family who can design and secure funding for a good enough EV, but they're quite satisfied with the six figure sallaries they draw working for some European oil company.

Well, Pakistanis tend to score very highly in Happiness surveys, as you may know by the periodic threads on PDF to this effect. And if you consider the Hereafter, Pakistanis are perhaps the most well-prepared of all. So it is quite understandable if the effort for this world takes a back seat to the effort for the next one. Money is evil and an exam for the believers, anyway.

Lol, I almost wrote the same thing in my last reply. Why be ambitious of you can have it all in the next world?

One my most beloved lines, although a bit trite wilth regards to the argument, from Byron's closet drama 'Manfred:'

Sorrow is knowledge: they who know the most

Must mourn the deepest o’er the fatal truth –

The Tree of Knowledge is not that of Life.

Edit: I keep hitting the post button without having completed writing, agh.

Why are you so negative about everything ? you know sometimes you act like the old man Mastan khan who just have negativity in his posts about Pakistan and anything Pakistan related ? is there anything you see Positive in Pakistan ?
Don't take it as an insult just an honest observation .
You do realize that you quoted my post highlighting the negative people and the negativity they bring.

So you quoted exactly what you were saying.

The difference is that PTIans are Pakistanis first and PTIans second. Jiyalas/Patwaris are Jiyalas/Patwaris first Pakistanis second.
The difference this time is that the main aim of the IK is to improve the country rather than improve his, his family's and his cronies bank accounts. When that changes I can guarantee you we will oppose IK as vehemently as we oppose the corrupts of previous governments.

Because they have essentially the same aims.

There is no evidence to support your assertion. If that were true, why are PTI supporters silent on JKT? Why are PTI supporters totally fine with Hafeez Sheikh? Why are you guys without any noise when it comes to Ijaz Shah? Same goes for Bakhtiar, Khattak (both of whom have embezzlement accusations against them and their families). Why the closed lips on the disaster that is Peshawar Metro? I could go on and on. Do you remember the now suspended Ehtesab Commission and General Hamid Khan of KPK? That itself is a shining example of the hypocrisy of Imran Khan and PTI.

You all are no different from supporters of other parties. You're just the latest iteration of hypocrites and myopic one person sycophants who will be tomorrow's patwaris and jiyalas.
